Crisis management experts are calling for the creation of a "United Nations army"-an international rapid reaction force that could be deployed within 48 hours to intervene in emergency situations around the globe.
Composed of up to 15,000 military, police and civilian staff, including medics, the proposed force would be recruited from professionals hired by the U.N. from many countries, and based at designated U.N. sites.

I was just envisioning a UN special forces.
They'd probably shoot themselves in the foot.
And how would they be armed?
What would be their rules of engagement?
What communications tools would they have to avoid confussion?
How would they react when all sides started kicking their butts?
What percentage would the U.S. be required to fund?
How would they be trained?

Well, you may re-call that back in the Klinton Regime, this was given some serious discussion by the Commie's - uh lib's. If Hitlery should happen to get in office - god forbid, I assure you that she will attempt to place U.S. troops under U.N. command for sure.
Just out of curiosity, exactly who do these geniuses envision as funding and transporting this mercenary force to global trouble spots? Lemme guess...Uncle Sam?

Yea, in the post above about the UN Army mission was a statement about "preventing genocide."
Wake me up when they take care of that in Rwanda, and Sierra Leone, and other great places they have succeeded in saving.
To Switzerland. The biggest mistake Truman made was allowing the building of UN headquarters in NYC. Should have moved into the old League quarters.
