"So you mean to tell me we have the land forces to invade Iran? "
We have the forces to defeat Iran. Do you think invading Iran should look like the Normandy invasion?

If you invade Iran you have to occupy the country. Wars can't be won by bombing unless you want to go nuclear.

1. To improve the image of the resistance in society, increase the number of supporters who are refusing occupation and show the clash of interest between society and the occupation and its collaborators. To use the media for spreading an effective and creative image of the resistance. (emphasis added)

What's this about all the help Iran is giving us in Afghanistan and Iraq?

"The question remains, how to draw the Americans into fighting a war against Iran? It is not known whether America is serious in its animosity towards Iran, because of the big support Iran is offering to America in its war in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Hence, it is necessary first to exaggerate the Iranian danger and to convince America and the west in general, of the real danger coming from Iran, and this would be done by the following..." - Al Qaeda's own self-evaluation report![](http://webpages.charter.net/aircover/USAflag.gif)
It's actually been in the public domain that Iran has helped the U.S. by aiding the anti-Talibani Northern Alliance in Afghanistan.
...but the above Al Qaeda report seems to go a bit further.
Food for thought that runs contrary to the "conventional wisdom" on Iran.

Iran arms anti al-Qaeda fighters like the Badr and the Madhi Army. I am sure that is what al-Qaeda sees as Iran helping the US.

If you want the size of the Army to increase, lobby your Congressman. In the meantime, the size of my congressman has definitely increased.

Grampa Dave, thank you so much for the bump.
The time to strike is now and I hope people go to the link immediately following and cut and paste the articles in Post #2 and send them to the media detailed in Post #16.

Since the media is trying to pretend the new Zarqawi memo that was found doesn't mean anything, we have to force them to face up to the truth.
And I'm taking this from a freeper blog:
Baathist holdovers have admitted putting aside any ideological differences with Zarqawi to cooperate with him for a "greater" cause (something critics have argued wasn't possible).

The foolish and silly Monday morning quarterbacking of the most successful unconventional war in the history of man is just a joke. You're damn right it is.

This is what strikes me: There was no way to independently confirm the authenticity of the information attributed to al-Qaida.That jumped out at me too. That's a new one for Al-AP.

"You are correct, the plan has really been to "hold" in one conflict, win the other, and then shift forces to win the other. Doesn't sound so great, but in fact we did similar in WWII. Germany was the first priority, moved slower against the Jap's until we had won in Europe"
I heard a discussion on Jerry Doyle's Show last night. A photographer who is quite impressed and supportive of our military in Iraq, stated that things are heating up in Afghanistan (sp), and that the American Public should be prepared to see some difficult situations develop soon. We can't forget to pray for our troops there.....
I trust our leadership, but want to keep a hawk's eye out on the Lamestreammedia.

Putting on my tin foil hat for a moment, I note that the discovery and release of this document arguably furthers the Iranian interests the most, painting them as wrongly accused of all charges due to our eagerness to fall for Al Qaeda's clumsy ruse. Maybe they wrote it.
Also, when did Bill and Ted leave San Dimas to join Al Qaeda in Iraq? BOGUS reports, dudes!
To: kenavi
Small highly mobile armies can beat conventional forces, but they can not occupy and police counties.
You can't police a country the size of Iraq with 100,000 US troops as Rummy learned when he tried to bring US forces down to 100,000 in April 2004.
Rummy's notions on war are great for conventional wars, they are moronic for policing countries.

But we were told by people much smarter than us (Democrats)that the death of Zarqawi meant little, and that someone else will step in and nothing will change.
I hope the Republicans have saved those quotes for the upcoming election.
To: NormsRevenge
I was watching CNN earlier, and they kept saying they couldnt vouch for the authenticity of these documents. It is pretty clear that the MSM has been helping Al Qaeda on at least 4 or 5 goals of their mission.

Good morning.
"The fact is Z-man knows we don't have the forces for three wars at the same time"
I just read that again and I would like to say that Z-man knows absolutely nothing since he is deader than john kerry's presidential hopes.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A blueprint for trying to start a war between the United States and Iran was among a "huge treasure" of documents found in the hideout of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Iraqi officials said Thursday.
Oh boy you people are truly niave.............
MUCH LIKE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD.
Listen i have a sneaking suspicion That all out war war with Iran and the United will break out and they will not need Abu al-Zarqawi's help with it...............
WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG INSURGENT AND IRANIAN WOLVES ?
Little Red Riding Hood
Charles Perrault
Once upon a time there lived in a certain village a little country girl, the prettiest creature who was ever seen. Her mother was excessively fond of her; and her grandmother doted on her still more. This good woman had a little red riding hood made for her. It suited the girl so extremely well that everybody called her Little Red Riding Hood.
One day her mother, having made some cakes, said to her, "Go, my dear, and see how your grandmother is doing, for I hear she has been very ill. Take her a cake, and this little pot of butter."
Little Red Riding Hood set out immediately to go to her grandmother, who lived in another village.
As she was going through the wood, she met with a wolf, who had a very great mind to eat her up, but he dared not, because of some woodcutters working nearby in the forest. He asked her where she was going. The poor child, who did not know that it was dangerous to stay and talk to a wolf, said to him, "I am going to see my grandmother and carry her a cake and a little pot of butter from my mother."
"Does she live far off?" said the wolf
"Oh I say," answered Little Red Riding Hood; "it is beyond that mill you see there, at the first house in the village."
"Well," said the wolf, "and I'll go and see her too. I'll go this way and go you that, and we shall see who will be there first."
The wolf ran as fast as he could, taking the shortest path, and the little girl took a roundabout way, entertaining herself by gathering nuts, running after butterflies, and gathering bouquets of little flowers. It was not long before the wolf arrived at the old woman's house. He knocked at the door: tap, tap.
"Who's there?"
"Your grandchild, Little Red Riding Hood," replied the wolf, counterfeiting her voice; "who has brought you a cake and a little pot of butter sent you by mother."
The good grandmother, who was in bed, because she was somewhat ill, cried out, "Pull the bobbin, and the latch will go up."
The wolf pulled the bobbin, and the door opened, and then he immediately fell upon the good woman and ate her up in a moment, for it been more than three days since he had eaten. He then shut the door and got into the grandmother's bed, expecting Little Red Riding Hood, who came some time afterwards and knocked at the door: tap, tap.
"Who's there?"
Little Red Riding Hood, hearing the big voice of the wolf, was at first afraid; but believing her grandmother had a cold and was hoarse, answered, "It is your grandchild Little Red Riding Hood, who has brought you a cake and a little pot of butter mother sends you."
The wolf cried out to her, softening his voice as much as he could, "Pull the bobbin, and the latch will go up."
Little Red Riding Hood pulled the bobbin, and the door opened.
The wolf, seeing her come in, said to her, hiding himself under the bedclothes, "Put the cake and the little pot of butter upon the stool, and come get into bed with me."
Little Red Riding Hood took off her clothes and got into bed. She was greatly amazed to see how her grandmother looked in her nightclothes, and said to her, "Grandmother, what big arms you have!"
"All the better to hug you with, my dear."
"Grandmother, what big legs you have!"
"All the better to run with, my child."
"Grandmother, what big ears you have!"
"All the better to hear with, my child."
"Grandmother, what big eyes you have!"
"All the better to see with, my child."
"Grandmother, what big teeth you have got!"
"All the better to eat you up with."
And, saying these words, this wicked wolf fell upon Little Red Riding Hood, and ate her all up.
Moral: career diplomats that are in the worthless United Nations and other weak kneeed appeasement artists like the democraps should never deal diplomatically with terrorists for if they should do so, they may well provide dinner for a wolf. I say "wolf," but there are various kinds of wolves. There are also those who are charming, quiet, polite, unassuming, complacent, and sweet, who hoodwink worthless diplomats and politicians. And unfortunately, it is these gentle wolves who are the most dangerous ones of all.

Good afternoon.
"We've never really even had the forces to fight two wars simultaneously."
That would depend upon the type and location of the wars and the enemy we faced. We have fought limited wars many times.
I would guess that TPTB know that a draft would be instituted in the case of multiple large wars. Michael Frazier
