As someone who's entire family has supported and voted for him twice, he is TOTALLY out of touch regarding the borders and the problem of ILLEGAL aliens. I live in NH on the NH, MA border and every day it is being reported that at least 5 to 10 ILLEGAL aliens are being stopped and cited for driving without a license, DWI, driving without insurance, etc... not to mention the more serious felonies they are committing and being incarcerated for. If this is the case here on the tip of the east coast, just imaging how bad it is in Texas, CA, NM, etc... This problem is not going away and president Bush REFUSES to see the threat or deal with the problem. Another issue is gas prices. Because the neither the president nor the Republican controlled house and senate are willing to grow a set of stones and push for a real energy policy: NEW DRILLING, NEW REFINERIES, NEW NUKE PLANTS, over the objections of the democrats and their kook fringe, the American people are going to be paying $3 to $5 dollars a gallon for gas for ever. The price is not going to go down. Then you have the real threat of Iran. They are run by the reincarnation of Hitler and he is hell bent on procuring nukes to destroy Israel and to threaten his neighbors and the USA, all in the name of "allah" (may he rot in hell) and Islam. The only thing that will solve the problem is force of arms... not running to the UN or EU for "sanctions" or incentives. None of the above issues are going to just magically go away... so much for "MoJo", it will be gone in a month or less.
Beat it you pathetic angry LOSER!
I'm really getting sick and tired of all the petty little snivelers who do nothing more than whine and complain.
Every thread is REALLY about illegal immigration.
Any indication of the national origin of said illegals? Inquiring minds want to know.
You, like the lefties, keep forgetting that Bush isn't running; that his immigration plan is dead anyway; that the key to getting the nuke/ANWAR energy you desire is 2-3 more CONSERVATIVE SENATORS; and that public attitudes toward Iraq and the WoT will provide a necessary margin for increasing the votes in the senate.
The Club for Growth has estimated that we are a HANDFUL of votes away from securing a CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY in the House, which is absolutely huge; and while we are some ways away in the Senate, one or two more conservatives would exert pressure on people like Graham and DeWine to toe the line.
So Bush's "mojo" is extremely important in the bigger picture, and completely irrelevant when it comes to his specific policies.
Oh, for Pete's sake, put a sock in it already.
Hey fella hold on! Give it a rest.
While I am at odds with the POTUS over illegal immigration, you got to give the fella his due.
If you want real results. Lean on your Conress Critter!
That is how things get done.
It only took the third post for the hijack of another good thread by the all immigration all the time advocates. you are turning most freepers off, and pretty soon the threads will only be 5 posts because of your inability to comment without the segue' into illegals. It has become like an addiction to a drug. You all are getting to be as popular as someone walking into a Dance with dogpoop on his shoes. Stay on topic not everything to be discussed cogently is about immigration.
Are bushbots really conservatives? I don't think so anymore. They spend so much time defending Bush's liberal policies along with the few conservative victories he's had that I don't think they are conservatives just "Bush followers". Sometimes I think they bow in prayer to the east (the White House) instead of to the cross.
I have come to view quailfiers such as the above in the same category as, "Some of my best friends are..."
If you have to quailfy your statement, chances are you are not telling the truth.
GO W GO
There's a time and a place for everything. Nobody dislikes the president's immigration policies more than I do, but what you wrote is completely uncalled for. These are foreign policy victories to be celebrated.
The libs won't give him credit for anything. Those of us who have been his critics cannot be like that. We won't have an ounce of credibility. I salute the president and applaud his leadership. Well done.
You must not be listening to the news on what is going on at the Border. Coyote are NOW charing 2500.00 to 3000.00 to get an illigal over on the US side. It was 200-300 a couple weeks ago. We have 65 troops on Arizona border and they have decreased crossing by 33% just in that state, we will have more by the end of the week.
Texas crossing have decreased by 23% in less than a week.
OPEN YOUR EARS AND EYES, we are seeing progress. I live here in Texas and I can assure you we are seeing progress. Not to mention the thousands that were rounded up yesterday.
Ye of little faith need to wake up and start praising W for what is going on.
You're right about a good number of things. Illegal immigration is a huge and growing problem, as is our energy dependency, as is the threat posed by Iran. But the Democrats are utterly clueless on all these fronts, and the American people know it. George Bush is far from perfect, but he's far from clueless, too. I think he's starting to "get it" on immigration - we need to keep the pressure up. He is handling Iraq well, and from what I've seen, has no illusions about Iran. The economy is humming along nicely, too.
Republicans in Congress are the main problem. Unlike the criminal enterprise known as the Democrat Party, Republicans are merely craven, cowardly and stuck-on-stupid (I'll have a few choice words for Charlie Bass next time I see him in the cigar store in Concord). Maybe if they had to fill up thier own SUV's with their own money, they'd get cracking on new power plants and refineries.
Nonetheless, when push comes to shove (and it will), I'll be glad to have Bush in the Oval Office instead of any Democrat you could name. And I'll be sure to thank the Guy upstairs for that, too.
I have to agree...time to stop catering to the female voting sector, with all that gushy emotional stuff, and get back in the saddle...
There are many on this forum now who are only a degree or two from being like a liberal..... good news is bad news, and everything is qualified with a "yes, but.....". Please don't become like that, FRiend.
They all know how to get the prices down, but they won't do anything about it. This issue has to be kept alive through at lest two more elections. The Democrats want to blame it all on corporations while blocking legislation that would free more energy sources. Corporation's bad. Nationalization of the oil companies good.
procuring nukes to destroy Israel
I don't really get this. If Jerusalem is such a holy place, why would they want to nuke it? Wouldn't the very thought of the act p*ss off the rest of the Arab world?
hope you were equally concerned when all those MA types started invading NH
Squawking 7777, threadjack in progress!
Wow. 3 posts until the thread was hijacked. Is that a record?
A smart man gets a lot of advice, a wise man knows he must evaluate the advice he gets. President Bush is a wise man, a wise man who plans. On this issue, you are thinking in the short term. The President doesn't have that luxury. He has a good track record of getting what he wants and sometimes, like President Reagan, he gets there incrementally.
