There are many on this forum now who are only a degree or two from being like a liberal..... good news is bad news, and everything is qualified with a "yes, but.....". Please don't become like that, FRiend.

I get tired of the rudeness of some of the posters, too. It seems we've gotten a lot of the "knee-jerk" crowd that overreacts and then they get very rude and obnoxious if you offer an opinion that differs from theirs. These people started infesting this forum some time around 2004.

Your rant is heard loud and clear in this household and I concur with every single word you wrote. I've thought about leaving this place permanently so many times in the last few months because of freepers like the one you were writing about.
The single issue, my way or the highway people aren't conservative at all, imo, but here to destroy a powerful forum. I'm sick of their tactics and it's about time we take this place back to what it used to be; where we did actual research instead of arguing with each other.
I've had more freepers tell me I must be a troll because I don't agree with every word Ann Coulter writes that I've decided FR has undergone a massive nervous breakdown and been taken over by pod people.
I miss your posts..The "yeah buts" are enough to drive many of us away..I crept back into posting on this type of thread because I can steel myself to ignore them better after a bit of practice..If a thread gets hijacked then there is nothing to do but hope to try again and see if they are all having dinner, mowing the lawn, writing their Congressman,or making amends to somone they have wronged...
I would hate to be so tied up in one issue that I could never feel positive about other good news. It has been a good week..I rejoice over the good news.
But your statement is true for so many of us. That is why that small group has been able to make such a large showing, of late. People are fed up with the thread hijacking, the constant nay saying, the personal attacks and name calling, and the incessant doom and gloom from that group.
