HOW W GOT HIS MOJO BACK; BEHIND BUSH'S GREAT WEEK
The NY Post ^ | 6/15/06 | Clark S. Judge

June 15, 2006 -- WHO'D have thought it possible even a month ago? President Bush is getting his mojo back.

The president just had the best week of his second term, perhaps of his entire presidency - and the end of the investigation of Karl Rove, which would have been the headline grabber not long ago, had little to do with it.

Instead, the president's brilliantly conceived and executed trip to Baghdad - giving exactly the right boost at the right time to new Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki - capped off seven days that included the forming of a full Iraqi Cabinet and the success of the U.S. military in locating, bombing and killing Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the sadistic Jordanian-born insurgency leader that Osama bin Laden once called the "prince of Iraq."

Equally significant, the night Zarqawi died, American forces staged 17 raids on insurgent targets. By Monday, they had launched 140 more. On the day of the president's visit, 75,000 troops fanned out over Baghdad, ordered to clear the Iraqi capital of the violence and anarchy that has plagued it for months.

Yes, it's better to be a bot and blindly accept everything that Bush does or doesn't do.

There are many on this forum now who are only a degree or two from being like a liberal..... good news is bad news, and everything is qualified with a "yes, but.....".

So true.

As a San Diego citizen, I'm thrilled the illegal immigration invasion is finally getting front and center attention.

Little by little, there's good news reported every day.

Thanks for the ping, Howlin.

You have a loose movement of the mouth. Take a little Kaopectate for it. You'll be fine in the morning.

Perfect example of what we're talking about.

Just what did OhioWfan say to deserve that kind of remark?

It's time for the REST of us to speak the hell up and get this forum BACK to where it was.

Thanks for the ping. I hope you are doing fine, keep your faith.

I like many probably have cut their participation on many threads due to the twisting of things to the views of a select few. I generally don't even read them anymore. They represent a few but not the majority as they would leave you to believe.

Some of these anti-Bush bots make me wish FR had an ignore button.

When was it, about 2 months ago, when the WH had a 'shake up' and Rove was relieved of 'other duties' other than guru-ing?

That shake-up seems to be reaping rewards.

One of Bush's quips at the Washington Press Corps Dinner (Steve Corbert bombing) was he was relieved because he survived the WH shake-up. lol

Some of these anti-Bush bots make me wish FR had an ignore button.

I can't tell you how many times I've wished for that. I had one harrassing me just this week. Nasty little creep, came at me out of nowhere, unprovoked.

I slapped him down, but he kept nagging and tagging around like some little kid.

I fervently wished for an "ignore" button, as I have before.

With the devout Christian background and purpose that you claim on your homepage, you obsessing over immigration strikes me as very, very odd. I would think you would be most concerned with the real moral issues of the day. Maybe hijack every thread with something like abortion. Although I disagree with the President on immigration, I believe he's trying to shape his policy in keeping with his Christian faith with makes him want to show true compassion. You claim to be this devout, dedicated servant of Jesus. Ok, what would Jesus do? I doubt he would approve of your message. I really doubt it big time. And the same goes for the Arabs. Try understanding Rev. 7:9-10.

Frankly to me, you sound like one of the Pharisees.

What's it going to take to stop these attempted thread hijackings. I'm with Lando, I'm sick to death of every thread being about illegal immigration.

Lando, I'm sorry to see you not starting that many threads anymore...I've come to see your name on it as a signal that a thread is worth a look.

It's been a bad week for leftwingers and terrorists, but a great week for freedom-loving Americans.

I'm praying that the Iraqis can work out their differences politically and do not succumb to sectarian divisions exploited by the Saddam loyalists.

You and I have disagreed on any number of topics, but you have been unfailingly polite to me (even when I did not particularly deserve it) and I have NEVER seen you hijack a thread. During the Terri wars, a couple of FReepers kept track of the "T-factor" which was the number of posts in an unrelated thread before it was hijacked by Terribots. We are seeing the same sort of behavior now by the anti-illegal-immigration crowd. Not a new or unique phenomenon, but annoying as anything!

Please keep the faith, my FRiend!

John...I'm 60 the end of August.

I like you wish we could go back to the 1950's, when the country was fresh off the victory over Nazism and Japan's imperialistic venture.

You could leave your baseball glove out on the front lawn overnight...right next to your unlocked bicycle. You knew it would be there in the morning.

There must come a time when you need to stop fretting about this so-called invasion by the Hispanic-American albeit non-citizens.

Do you ever consider why both parties in the House and Senate overwhelmingly refuse to enforce the borders? Do they eat stupid pills in the Congressional cafeteria or something? What makes them seem ignorant of the "threat"...peceived or otherwise?

When one looks at the prospects for the survival of the USA longterm, evidently the 20 million illegals here serve an abundance of good. Far outweighing the bad, IMO.

Hell....I'm having trouble with change too. I hate seatbelt laws and the ever-encroaching rights on personal freedom and expression. Pretty soon, it will be against the law for milkshakes to be made with whole milk and real ice-cream at the rate we're headed.

While as you and Jim, I don't reside in sunny California, we're overrun with minority Hispanics in Gaithersburg, Maryland too.

Bottom line...we need them for the economic and human growth of the United States of America.

Give in to The Force, John. George W. Bush is not the Conservative movement's enemy.

Your rant is heard loud and clear in this household and I concur with every single word you wrote. I've thought about leaving this place permanently so many times in the last few months because of freepers like the one you were writing about.

The single issue, my way or the highway people aren't conservative at all, imo, but here to destroy a powerful forum. I'm sick of their tactics and it's about time we take this place back to what it used to be; where we did actual research instead of arguing with each other.

I've had more freepers tell me I must be a troll because I don't agree with every word Ann Coulter writes that I've decided FR has undergone a massive nervous breakdown and been taken over by pod people.
