Coulter: I've never had sex with a liberal 'Godless' author makes admission on 'Tonight Show with Jay Leno'
---------------------------------------------------------
Despite reams of media hype about George Carlin appearing with Ann Coulter on "the Tonight Show with Jay Leno," there were no political fireworks during the segment featuring the controversial author of "Godless."
"This is the last time we have eHarmony match up the guests," Leno clowned during his opening monologue last night.
Carlin, the 69-year-old anti-establishment comedian appeared before Ann Coulter - - only made one reference to Coulter's conservative politics when Leno introduced her, as he shuffled his position down the couch on stage.
"I never thought that when Ann Coulter came out, I would have to move to the right. But I did," Carlin joked, to audience laughter.
Coulter says liberals are "obsessed" with one sentence of one chapter in her new N.Y. Times No. 1 best-seller, where she discussed four 9-11 widows using the deaths of their husbands to push a political cause.
Leno asked, "Is the point of the book to move forth your conservative ideas what you think or is it to sell books?"
"It is to make a point, and now that it is the No. 1 book in the country, I think that point will be made," Coulter said to loud applause. "The funny thing about this is I'm calling liberals 'Godless.' Oh, they're cool with that. Just don't attack the Jersey Girls."
Leno asked why Coulter used the term "broads" to refer to the widows in her book, while calling them "women" during a previous television appearance.
"Men use the word 'broads' all the time to talk about women," Coulter responded. "If we're getting to that level of parsing my language, there will be no end to this."

When Coulter responded, "No," Leno said, "Really? You should try it. See what it's like."
"I've read about it in Esquire," responded the author.<<
Love Ann Coulter !
See, if George Carlin and Ann Coulter can be Civil Humorous, why not the rest of us ?
"This show is not a Bully Pulpit, people can come on and say whatever they want" -- Jay Leno

(Pardon me, but I had to edit down alot here !)
Where is the original article located? You have World Net Daily at the top of the post, but it links to yahoo and the yahoo link at the bottom goes to the same obscure yahoo page.
Didn't that guy win American Idol?

This is the correct link.
Just doing the job other freepers won't do...
Jay had to make the obligatory "wouldn't it be better if you made your points without being nasty" comment. Ann's repartee was awesome! She mentioned that we used to have only 3 TV stations, and it was oh so civilized until Conservatives finally had a medium where they could talk back, and suddenlly it was nasty. The Soviet union had only one TV station, and there was even less uncivility! That was a great point!
Yes, I got the said article from my Yahoo page .
I was searching news articles about Ann Coulter and picked up this one .
Try www.WND.com on any ISP, the artcle is current !
That is a nice picture of Ann, thank you . .
I have a full size poster of that image from ConservativeYouth.org
Heres a screenshot of the Leno promo.Ya think?
Update: The Freepers claim to have sent a contingent to the show to root Coulter on. Sounds like they made it in:
Leno just cracked a joke about Rove not being indicted and it got surprisingly big cheers, leading him to remark upon his new right-wing audience.

Stayed up and watched the whole thing. Ann was brilliant...the only disappointment was that while being billed as "Ann vs Carlin" they were obviously told not to go at each other. Carlin did look uncomfortable, but Ann couldn't have been any happier.
Yes, Ann Coulter is very good at holding her own .
She can make logical and thoughtful arguments when you don't have some Leftwinger shouting her down .
Or some Liberal MKnow-It-All interupting everything she says !

Yes, thank you very much, AND-
I know all about it, I watched the Leno Show, for every second ! And I saved my recording on good old fashioned VHS tape . .
More to the point, that audience liked George Carlin's act as well .
The show was good and civilized .
You can have two different personalities on that show without it devolving into shouting match !
I wish Jon Stewart of the Daily Show would relearn that !

So the fact that they(Coulter & Carlin) did not go at each other, you believe was artificial ?
How cynical !
But maybe they were told not to attack one another .
I made that assumption because of 1) knowing Carlin and 2) reading his body language.
Okay, I'll take back what I said about Leno yelling his punch lines. He has matured as a comedian to the extent that his punch lines are delivered in the same tone as the rest of his joke.
But he has another awful, sloppy habit from which I never once saw him deviate - he talks through the laughter and applause. Every seasoned performer, and even the not-so-seasoned among us, knows to shut the hell up and let the audience respond.
Memo to KT Tunstall: shortness isn't rendered more elegant by slouching.
