LEXINGTON, Massachusetts, June 14, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - On May 17the two-year anniversary of same-sex "marriage" in Massachusettsthe first-grade son of a prominent pro-family advocate was dragged and beaten behind the Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington during recess, receiving multiple blows to the chest, stomach, and genital area.
Jacob Parker, the 7-year-old who was attacked, is the son of David Parker. LifeSiteNews.com readers will recall that David Parker objected to homosexual curriculum in his son's kindergarten class. At a meeting with the principal of the school last year Parker requested that the school inform him of when homosexual discussions would take place, so he could exclude his son from the activity. The principal refused and Parker said he would not leave until his request was granted. School administration called the police and had Parker charged with trespassing. (see coverage: http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/apr/05042910.html)
The school system has since continued to refuse to notify parents of such material being presented in class. On April 27, 2006, Parker, his wife, and another family filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the school system.
According to Mr. Parker, school authorities determined from an investigation into the assault that the beating was indeed planned and premeditated.
Mr. Parker described the incident at the school saying:
"During the recess period, a group of 8-10 kids suddenly surrounded Jacob and grabbed him. He was taken around the corner of the school building out of sight of the patrolling aides, with the taunting and encouragement of other kids. Jacob was then positioned against the wall for what appeared to be a well planned and coordinated assault.
According to Parker, his son related that one student in particular performed the actual physical assault while, many children stood, watched silently, and did nothing as the beating commenced.
"The group of kids surrounded Jacob and he was beaten and punched. Then, as he fell to the ground, another child was heard saying to the group of children, 'Now you all can finish him off,' and as he was down on his hands and knees, the beating continued on his back. Then, fortunately, one little girl ran to contact the oblivious playground aides to stop it.
"Four of the attackers were from Jacob's first-grade class; the others were from other classes at Estabrook.
"The teachers' aide apparently determined that since she could not see external bleeding, and since Jacob apparently was not hit in the face, she did not send him to she school nurse." The family was immediately notified of the incident.
Speaking to LifeSiteNews, Parker speculated that the cause of the attack is most likely what he called displaced aggression. If children hear venomous things from their parents, the children do internalize this, he said.
I certainly dont want to vilify the children in this, he said. We understand that skirmishes happen on the playground. Its taking the child around out of view of the aides, and the number of children that stood around watching that concerns us.
Parker noted that his conflict with the school over homosexuality is well known among the students. "We are aware that the school administration sent notices home with all the young children concerning the Parker arrest, the 'King and King' incident and the federal lawsuit," he said. They must know that the children read them.
He pointed out that the date of the attack--the two year aniversary of same-sex "marriage" in Massachusetts--cannot be a coincidence.
The topic of Parker's beliefs has become so widespread among the students that Jacob says he overheard his fellow classmates ruminating that perhaps their current principlewho has resigned her position to take up a job elsewherewas leaving the job because of Jacobs father. Members of the community itself have organized public demonstrations specifically against Parker, in which their children have taken part. One of these demonstrations is pictured on the right. While prominently displayed in the student library are the back issues of the Lexington Minuteman that specifically deal with Parkers case, for the children to read.
Were trying to be patient and tolerant," said Parker when asked if he was considering pulling his son out of the school. "Were trying to hang on to the notion that the schools are for every child and for everyone. I dont feel that we should have to leave for an injustice.
But he added that There are limits to how much patience we can have. I certainly understand why more and more parents are pulling their children out of public schools.
Ironically, the school prides itself on its long-time involvement in various "Safe School" programs, which are geared to creating school environments "safe" for students who are homosexual.
Parker asked, "Isn't the school supposed to be addressing safety and preventing bullying and violence? Or are such programs only focused on children with homosexual parents? You can be certain that if this happened to a child with homosexual parents more would be made of this and that 'lessons' teaching tolerance and diversity of homosexual behavior normalization would be forced upon the young children."
The school and larger community are deeply divided over the Parker's stand against pro-homosexual indoctrination. A group has been formed in Lexington to counter Parker's efforts. The 'Lexington Cares' group maintains an anti-Parker website and has conducted anti-Parker letter writing campaigns and demonstrations.

The kid learned the hard way an important part of the liberal playbook: Never fight one-on-one, you can't win and, since you'll never have any courage of your own, you may draw some from the mob.
Thank you. Considering some who have posted to me, that would take some doing.
You make oblique references to Parker's actions last year as if there were anything wrong with a parent challenging a school and its officials when they dare to try and feed a child pro-homosexual propaganda.
Acually, it wasn't oblique. It was quite direct. Parker had many options, but chose to get arrested for publicity only. Once he did that he had an obligation to his children to move them to another school to keep them from ridicule and scorn that other children would naturally do. But he didn't, in my opinion for reasons only he can tell you. As for challenging the school, he had every right to do that. He didn't want any agreement. He wanted publicity. He was willing to lie and use anything or anyone to pursue his crusade. That is what I object to.
I'm beginning to think that the only solution to the homosexual problem is turning you people over to the Taliban and letting them administer a sort of justice that our civilization has become too weak to exact.
And you suggest that my post was the stupidest? While I hesitate to use the word "hate" here, I think I safely can in your case. You are obsessed with hatred and it has nothing to do with me. I'm sure you have been able to pass such moral guidance along to your children?
So the kid was asking for it?
Apparently the reaction of other parents in the school to Parker's antics would seem to belie that statement. You seem to forget that this is Massachusetts. Homosexuality is treated differently there than in most states. So anyone moving there for the first time would no doubt for the first time be introduced to the materials.
Even those who might use their own children as political pawns?
Because you are new here, a word of advice. When you refer directly to another poster, it is common courtesy to ping that poster. And I seriously doubt you know the meaning of conservative.
It gives an interesting possible alternative meaning to the term "homosexual child abuse"... using indoctrinated children to help keep pushing the agenda.
The Parkers have every right to request parental notification when certain materials are presented in an instructional period. That was not their demand, as I have patiently explained. Nor did the school have him arrested. Parker himself insisted on being arrested. You might avail yourself of the actual story, not just the one you want to believe.
BTW, I thought you didn't want to talk to me anymore?
Nonetheless, I won't make any such judgments about you.
Most Americans by a large majority would come down squarely against you on this issue so you really need to stop and think about that and figure out WHY.
Perhaps because like you they would not take the time to learn the real story?
BTW, I thought you didn't want to talk to me anymore?
Kind of a silly question coming from you Appy. Of course not. How could a seven year old have any part in this. Were you ever in school? I'm sure you haven't forgotten how mean small kids can be. But then, let's see what the real story is here. I noticed that the "assault" supposedly occurred on May 17, almost a month ago, yet neither the school district nor the police have yet to be notified. Strange isn't it?
I feel so bad for kids that should be homeschooled but aren't.
My apologies. Carry on
How may times does it have to be said, GET YOUR KIDS OUT OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INDOCTRINATION CENTERS FOR CHILDREN AND DO IT NOW! I have to wonder at how so many otherwise sensible parents can't or won't realize how far the government school system has sunk into leftwing, anti-American, anti-Christian filth and mire. If something like this obviously organized and planned outrage in MA doesn't wake them up what will?
The government school indoctrination specialists' unions are so politically powerful that there is little that unorganized parents can do to fight them in the government's own arena. In spite of government school tyrants' best efforts, it's still legally possible to send your kids to private schools, or if that isn't financially feasible, to home school them. My grandkids are in a private Christian school, most of whose students' academic achievements in standardized tests far surpass the averages of any government school in the state BTW, but the financial burden is heavy for two kids (over $15K per year) and they will be home schooled on a trial basis beginning next term. If that doesn't work out, I am prepared to sell everything I own and live in abject poverty if that's what it takes to keep those precious kids hearts and minds out of the vile clutches of the government school indoctrination specialists.
The American people are being bullied into silent submission by a small minority of left wing radical "educators", and not very many parents seem to be interested in electing people who will do something effective to counteract the unAmerican, unGodly affects those people are having on future American citizens and voters. We pay their salaries with our sweat and enterprise while they corrupt the minds and hearts of the ones who are most precious to us. That could be stopped and reversed if parents were ever to wake up to the danger and take effective action in concert with one another. But until that happens, if it ever does, the only answer is to get them out of reach of government school indoctrination by whatever means it takes. You can get by just fine without a new SUV every 2 or 3 years or a newer and bigger hot tub on the deck, but your kids won't get by very well with a substandard government school education which is composed of as much or more political/social/cultural indoctrination than academic education.
Do I sound radical on this issue? Well maybe I am, but what more important issue is there to be radical about than the future welfare of your own flesh and blood kids, not mention the future socio/political/moral stance of our nation's people? The enemy learned long ago that he key to destroying America's traditional culture and morality is to undermine it's socio/cultural foundations. The mainline Protestant churches are already gone by the wayside, the public school system which I graduated from in the mid-'50s is gone with the wind, and now the last vestiges of traditional Christian sexual morality are being battered down by government school indoctrination specialists. When that process is complete, America will have been successfully transformed from what it's Christian founders and it's patriots down through the years intended it to be, into what the relatively few secular humanists/collectivists among us dreamed it should be and could become if it's unique culture and form of government was surreptitiously subverted and transformed along the pattern that had already made western Europe's Christian cultural and moral tradition into a grotesque travesty of it's former self.
End of rant, now if I can calm down I have some yard work to do.
I got the e-mail from Mass Resistance last night. Here's more:

What the matter, gutless punk. Afraid to ping me?
Very weak MAC. So weak there is nothing to rebut. The facts remain the same, your opinion and conjecture notwithstanding, that being that this particular school in Massachusetts thinks that parental rights end at the front door of public schools.
Sadly, you seem to agree with that unAmerican proposition.
Many parents are ill equipped financially and/or academically to withdraw ther children from public schools. Moreover, why is it always the default position of conservatives to pay for public entities and then cede them to the loons on the left?
It's unfortunate that his so called peaceful disobedience included continual lies to the press and using his kids as pawns. Had he not done that, I would have no trouble with what he did. But if you read anything about the case other than from his "website", you would know that he had no intention of ever settling this peacefully.
As for what you and the others here are claiming based on the original article above:
LEXINGTON, Massachusetts, June 14, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - On May 17the two-year anniversary of same-sex "marriage" in Massachusettsthe first-grade son of a prominent pro-family advocate was dragged and beaten behind the Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington during recess, receiving multiple blows to the chest, stomach, and genital area.
I would suggest reading the real story. Even Parker's attorney disagrees. He said there was an altercation and that Jacob was uninjured but shaken up.
Now, why do you suppose Parker waited a month before giving out that story? And if that happened, why did he not call the police? They have no record of it. Was he taken to the hospital? Multiple blows like that would show up even without blood? Why did he not file a complaint with the school board? They knew nothing about it. Just like last year, no one here wanted to know what really happened. If his son was beaten a month ago, why is he still in school? Why didn't Parker immediately file suit and press charges?
No, actually it's me. While you guys were busy issuing death threats against me and leveling every conceivable insult, Parker was reeling you all in. Let me guess. Time for another fund raising here on FR by him?
Take a hike.
Yes, you answered all of those questions very well. They all made sense to you, but rather than try and paint some kind of absurd picture that somehow explains it all away for Parker, it's me again. All you radicals are alike. Doesn't matter if it's DU or what rocks you live under. Shine a light and you scurry about the same way. You all love the term strawmen, which is another word for the facts. You can't debate. Your defense is always the same. "Must be some kinda troll to ask those questions". "But what the heck. Who cares about the kid. He served our purpose"!
The questions won't go away though. Hospital? Police? School Board? Court? Ask yourself how many of you would have overlooked all four of those if your kid was "dragged and beaten"?
You people make Cindy Sheehan look good.
