Any idea where in Va. this "stifling" of debate is going on?

A discussion about Iraq during the campaign increases support for the Democrat.

Really? Do they really think the cut-and-run defeatist rhetoric is a big seller?

If we create a disincentive for playing dirty it can help make sure the playing field is fair across the country.

These are the folks who were running an add about Thelma Drake voting for the Prescription Drug Bill.

Of course Thelma had to point out that she wasn't in Congress when the bill passed.

That's not all. Two of the senior executives at the station—including one of the guys who makes the decision about running ads—actually donated to the Republican's campaign!

There are two people at a TV station who aren't propagandists for the ultra-left!? That IS news!

MoveOn is running an add saying Thelma Drake took money from Halliburton, but her opponent has a major part of his portfolio in Halliburton stock, and the company is a major player and employer in the district -- it's a military area, and attacking the companies that support the troops is stupid, even the democrat says so, but of course he can't stop the ads because MoveOn doesn't answer to him (and in this case I think he might be telling the truth).

This is the same democrat (Kellum) who when he first put up his web site (hosted by a Pennsylvania company, rather than a company in his district -- thus outsourcing his own campaign work) the hosting company didn't clear out the site, so his "issues" page were left over from a Pennsylvania state house race. It was pretty funny.
