VANITY: Defeat the leftist lies that Al Qaeda wasn't in Iraq before the war
Various News and Govermental Sources ^ | June 14, 2006 | Peach

Posted on 06/14/2006 8:52:58 AM PDT by Peach

Two major issues were used by the President in the run up to war with Iraq. One was the WMD issue and the other was Iraq's support for Al Qaeda.

Since the war began in March 2003, the Democrats and media have repeatedly lied to the American public that Saddam didn't have a relationship with Al Qaeda or Osama bin Laden. They have been permitted to lie without challenge by Congressional Republicans or the President or his administration.

It is well past time that we educate Republican Congressmen and the conservative media, and try to encourage Tony Snow and Karl Rove on the importance of not letting this lie go unchallenged.

Since the 1990's, the media wrote dozens and dozens of articles about the world's alarm at the growing relationship Saddam and Iraqi military officers had with Al Qaeda and bin Laden. In the next post, I will detail some of those links.

Additionally, our very own freeper, translator and national treasure, jveritas, has translated documents which show that Saddam had direct ties to the Taliban in Afghanistan.

It is my firm belief that if more Americans knew about the relationships discussed above, support for the war and our beloved military would increase substantially. The media has gotten away with this lie for long enough.

I am looking for specific suggestions on how to get the word out to the administration with the suggestion they use this evidence of a relationship between Saddam and the jihadists more often, and how to directly write or call our Congressmen, the media, Ken Mehlman as Chair of the GOP, talk radio hosts, etc.

Also keep in mind that it was Richard Clarke who coined the phrase, "boogie to Baghdad". This was his advice to the President that Osama Bin Laden would move operations to Iraq following an invasion of Afghanistan.

Also, this:

Families sue Iraq over 9/11. Thousands of 9/11 victims and family members sue Iraq based on evidence that Iraq knew the attacks were coming, approved the attacks, and supported Al Qaeda for a decade. The lawsuit also notes Iraq's involvement in the first WTC attack.

Wonderful, jazusamo.

I'm copying and pasting that link to my e-mail and will send them all an e-mail with the list of links posted above in #2.

Thank you for any help you can give, A. Hun.

It's pretty easy to cut and paste the links posted in #16 and use the links posted in #2.

I'd really like Karl Rove and Tony Snow to pay more attention to this, as well as our Republican Congressmen.

IMHO, I believe that President Bush is using Iraq as a magnet to draw the cowards into combat, and trying to keep up the, "No AQ in Iraq," line to keep AQ thinking that we're clueless.

Once AQ and their pals are toast, we'll reveal all we know.

For those interested in using the WMD information in any of their e-mails or hard copy letters, great information can be found here:

(The link mentions the people in a position to know, including WMD hunters, who have said it's likely or at least possible WMD were moved to Syria).

I agree we need to educate and stand up for the truth, however once a liberal and the MSM gets something in their head they repeat it until it sinks into the average American minds. Once this is done reversing is almost futile. In the rare case of a truly open and self thinking liberal you can change their mind. This is one of the most frustrating things that I personally have had to deal with when debating and discussing "Issues" with my liberal friends.

This I believe is one of the downfalls of the democratic party, they have a lot of people who don't want to discuss issues on their merits but only what they think they know or feel. That is why they cannot come together as a party and make a definitive statement on the war. Look at Kerry, now he says he was wrong about voting for the war, and he got resounding applause.

Keep up on the good work, one last thought, just like in the war on terror, using a preemptive strike on the MSM and education is the best way to keep the Liberal MSM from getting a foothold on Untruth.

I agree with you about how once a lie is permitted to stand for so long. That's why I've been upset about this issue for a few years now.

But since we're on a roll of good news right now, and since Tony Snow is in the WH and as a former friend of freepers, I was thinking that if we had a lot of freepers send those links to the media, Rove, Snow, Congressmen, maybe we'd embolden people to finally start standing up for the truth.

I almost choked last night when I heard Bill O'Reilly acknowledged to his leftist guest Hackett, that there were no terrorist in Iraq.

Bill O'Reilly is an idiot.

"don't want to discuss issues on their merits but only what they think they know or feel"

Exactly! I could forward this to several individuals whose reaction would surely be, "Nothing to see here. Move on. Moveon.org."

Then PLEASE send FNC people, including O'Reilly, a freepmail. Use the links in #2; just cut and paste.

If enough of us do this, over time they may FINALLY respond. I don't care for O'Reilly either, but he does have a very poular show.

A suggestion, for those of you interested in using the e-mail list above, you may wish to send each e-mail individually.

Otherwise, I think some folks consider it spam and don't respond or read.
