She outlined three areas where Democrats would seek to differentiate themselves from Republicans: integrity, civility and accountability. If Democrats were to take control of the House in November, their first actions would focus on promoting those values, she said.
“These are not full-blown initiatives,” she cautioned, “[but] they are a beginning to differentiate from the Republicans’ misguided priorities of taking us deeply into debt, bringing up divisive social issues instead and raising those issues instead of raising the minimum wage.”

I just finished reading a book a friend insisted I read. It's Michelle Malkin's book Unhinged.
I didn't really want to read it because I think Malkin is a little sloppy with her research, but after finishing the book, I was pretty disturbed to read the ugliness of the leftists incivility all put in one book. The sheer number of fairly respected media people who have advocated killing
the president was a surprise to me, and the violence against GOP offices during the 2004 election was much higher than I remembered.
Michelle recounts how DU and other sites responded when Ronald Reagan died and Laura Ingraham was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was the ugliest stuff I’ve ever read anywhere about anyone.
Michelle looked at posts on FR when Elizabeth Edwards was diagnosed with breast cancer and when Bill Clinton had a heart attack and aside from a few posters who cracked jokes, the majority of posters expressed compassion and prayers for recovery.
This story is particularly enjoyable in light of "no Fitzmas" today, Zarqawi dead, President Bush in Baghdad to meet with new Iraqi government, etc. The Democrats are on the run, but Pelosi wants the public to believe they have a great edge in "integrity, civility, and accountability"???????
I suppose that Pelosi will want to talk about the great "integrity, civility, and accountability" represented in the countless slanderous, vicious utterances which stream forth from virtually every significant Democrat.
