First we ban the books, then we can burn them! More marshmellows. </sarc>

I've got to get that book.

If I sent it to the publisher do you think I could get it autographed.

Two Democrats – Assemblywomen Joan Quigley and Linda Stender – are pushing to ban "Godless" from all bookstores in their state because of Coulter's biting criticism of four 9-11 widows known as "the Jersey Girls," who demanded investigations into President Bush's role in allowing the terrorist attacks.

It saddens me that duly-elected representatives would be so ignorant of the First Amendment of the Constitution!

The Libs can sure dish it out, but they can't take it. Double standard.

The suggestion or attempt by New Jersey to ban Ann's book may very well be a precursor of what to expect if the Democrats take over the Congress. Democrats are leftist socialist revolutionaries so that would be no surprise.

The four Jersey Girls became millionaires as a result of their husband's deaths. They have chosen to become activists as though they were representing all widows and widowers as a result of 9/11. They are fair game in the political area. Going around stinking up the country with their unsubstantiated claims and charges against the current administration just serves to demonstrate their ignorance of the political process and their disdain for other victims of 9/11 who disagree with their assessments, IMHO.

Maybe New Jersey will also ban "Mary has two Mommies" kind of books, too.

I am confused by the lack of detail in the article. In what way are the two legislators attempting to ban Ann Coulter's book?

Could someone explain to World Nut Daily the distinction between "ban" and "boycott"

Drawing Inspiration in the Fight Against the Flying Harpies of Liberalism:

"We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in New Jersey, we shall fight on the seas
and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,
we shall defend our American way of life, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight
in the bookstores, we shall fight in the television studios, we shall fight in the fields
and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which
I do not for a moment believe, this Land were subjugated and starving for common sense,
then we, armed and girded by the strength of our arguments, would carry on the struggle,
until, in God's good time, Liberal politics and its illiberal practices are defeated."

Now who'da thunk that free-speech-hugging commie-libs would want to ban a book?

Shocking! /sarc

I thought banning books because you don't like what they have to say was exclusive to the Dark Ages or something akin to China, Russia or the Taliban.

a pair of New Jersey state legislators are trying to ban a book already atop the best-sellers list.

Just for that, I'm cancelling my vacation plans for Trenton (/s).

Ironic that Ann Coulter's banned but the book by gay ex-gov who committed numerous crimes against the state gets a free pass.

Gay Jimbo McGreevey's tell-all----"Pay-Me-I'm-a-Victim"---actually thinks people will believe he's a "victim" notwithstanding the depravity of his term in office. The list of state and federal crimes would fill an encyclopedia of political crime waves.

It was all downhill from here when Jimbo and Golan Cipel met when then-Mayor Jimmy went on a politicans' obeisance tour to Israel to scrounge for votes and campaign contributions. Even better than, Jimbo brought Golan home as a vote-buying souvenir.

This pic of McGreevey meeting Golan Cipel in Israel occured just two weeks after McG proposed marriage to his now-ex Dina Matos.

Law enforcement told the media that the FBI was investigating Cipel's blackmail efforts. Attorneys for Cipel were alleged to have demanded millions of dollars from McGreevey in exchange for Cipel not filing a sexual harassment lawsuit. That is to say, they were extorting tax dollars.

McGreevey appopinted Cipel as his HomeLand advisor. But the frightening part is that McSeedy DEMANDED Cipel be briefed by the US military and L/E on ways the tri-state area was protecting its vulnerable post-9/11 areas---like bridges and tunnels. Moreover, Cipel even turned up at a national HomeLandSec meeting in DC at which GWB spoke---even though Cipel was not listed as an official attendee. This guy Cipel creeped around the tri-state area after 9/11, sneaking around, getting national security info he was not supposed to have----God knows what the creep did with all the info he got ahold of.

It's so predictable and amusing to witness that Ann Coulter is consistently proven right by the looney left. Here's the party of the First Amendment, stalwart defenders of the freedom of the press and of speech, screeching for an offensive book to be banned. The irony, though thick enough to cut with a knife, is lost on libs.

Gee, didn't Liberals hate it when "Catcher in The Rye" and other leftist type books were banned? It appears they have become the very kind of people they so despised.
