MONTREAL, June 11 (UPI) -- Montreal police are investigating a reported attack on a Muslim imam by a man carrying a knife who asked if the imam wanted to "die a martyr."
The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. says investigators consider the attack a hate crime.
Imam Said Jazeri and a friend were leaving a mosque Friday night when a man with a butcher's knife approached them. The man allegedly pointed the knife at Jazeri and asked: "Do you want to die a martyr?"
Jazeri said he was able to call police while the man chased his friend down the street.
A 34-year-old man was charged with armed assault, uttering threats and possession of a dangerous weapon, CBC said.

I take it the imam didn't want to.
It was a reasonable question, but it should've been rhetorical.
My answer would be: "NO!"
If so, then no.
I admire that these Canadians are finally pissed, but please, no mob violence. You're supposed to be civilized.
What happens to an imman...when they get dusted with diced pig's ears?
Of course not. They send others to do it and when the police come, they say "Religion of Peace! We abhor violence! Tolerance!"
Now a Canadian, understandbly PO'd at being targeted is charged with a hate crime..
But the "attacker" chased the friend, not the imam, down the street. Huh???
And it was more of a threat than an attack.

Well, here is my suggestion for dealing with "backlash" against innocent Moslems.
The Canadian government should build communities of refuge in northern Saskatchewan, or Yukon, complete with mosques, nice cinder block houses, sidewalks, halal groceries, surrounded by a 12-ft concrete wall topped with razor wire.
All Canadian Moslems who fear backlash are welcome to take refuge in these communities of safety, where the government will protect them and guarantee that no non-Moslems will disturb them.
I see a claim of a threat but no attack.
Or they can have a one way ticket to one of the many sharia utopii.

so, my question is, will these muzlooms recently arrested be charged with a hate crime since they obviously hate non-muzlooms??
They never should have been allowed in this hemisphere in the first place. They screwed up as much as they could access by land or sea for 1400 years, and no place where they have gained prominence and authority is at all the equal of the civilized places where they are not present.
The Imam need not be a martyr, but why doesn't he just go back to the dorked up part of the world, which he and those of his mind-set dorked up (and now maybe cannot stand).
and of course all the muzzies rounded up last week with the materials and plans to blow up hundreds of Canadians will be charged with a "hate crime" any day now?
