I rarely post info from Newsmax. But I saw an interview the other day on Fox News Channel with Eric Shawn about his new book:

And it made me want to purchase it...so I went to Amazon and got it.

The corruption at the U.N. is the most underreported story of the past four or five years--I think it even beats "Good News from Iraq" as far as being ignored by the LameStream Media.

I urge fellow FREEPers to give Eric Shawn's book a look. It is only $16 at Amazon.

BTW, Shawn is the Fox News Channel's correspondent at the U.N. So he knows what he's talking about--so much so that the #2 clown at the Useless Nations no doubt had Eric in mind when he was bashing Fox News and Rush "Limbow" last week!!

Eric Shawn: The United States certainly should not abandon the U.N. It needs us now more than ever. We cannot allow the dictatorships and tyrannies to have a complete run of the place.

Sure, his book sounds interesting until you discover that in spite of whatever Shawn "exposes" about the UN, he still thinks the US should stay in the UN. If so, what's the point of his book?

Eric Shawn and John Stossel have a refreshingly honest way of calling a spade a spade and they don't care where or to whom the truth hits.

Kofi is getting a pass because he is retiring in Dec. or Jan - that is altogether wrong; he should have to answer for his many transgressions while he paraded as King of the United Nations...the man is a fraud!...as is the United Nations. Scrap it and the thousands of agencies that have spawned from this leaky, worthless ship and start a real organization that truly deals with worldly problems. If Kofi had been doing his job, there would have been no Oil For Food scandal and the biased inspectors sent into Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia, and other places, just maybe Iraq might never have happened. Get Kofi Out now and stop all remodeling of that awful dump, the UN.

NewsMax: Why do you think that the so-called mainstream media have studiously avoided any exposés about the U.N.?

Eric Shawn: I believe the mainstream media have been reluctant to hold the U.N. to the same journalist questioning as other institutions because the U.N. has been a sacred cow of political correctness. Shining a critical light on the world body has, until recently, somehow been seen as being "anti-U.N." as opposed to providing a reasonable examination of the U.N.'s record.

I disagree. I think the UN is doing what it is doing because it is a corrupt Anti-America organization run by our enemies on our money. The MSM approves of that.

If the U.S. of America leaves the UN it would be placed a big disadvantage, since the remaining countries would vote not in our interests. No, the best hope is to appoint someone like Bob Dornan or Zell Miller ;)
