A political reporter who was on the road with Gore during campaign 2000 takes a highly critical look at the post-election-day efforts by Gore and his team to, in the author's view, "steal the election." He chronicles the events as they unfolded day by day, and provides much behind-the-scenes reporting on the Gore team.
Word from the Publisher AT ANY COST is the inside story of exactly how Al Gore dragged a one-day presidential election into a five-week ordeal and nearly pulled off the largest act of political larceny ever in American politics. Award-winning reporter Bill Sammon spent months on the campaign trail following the Gore campaign, and then spent the last 40 days in Florida tracking the post-election ordeal.

Bill Sammon's book details how !
If one looks at the election results from TENNESSEE, you begin to realize how irrelevant Florida actually could have been.
Algore didn't even win his OWN HOME DISTRICT.
If he had won hos own district, he would have carried Tennessee, putting him over the top and rendering Florida irrelevant.
Ah luv it here in Tennessee.........
Al Gore tried to steal the election, and was even inept at that.

Yes, they DID try to steal the election . . .
And, as lying cheats often do, they have, since that time, not stopped making their false accusations of charging their opponents with exactly what they themselves were guilty of ...
Imagine if illegals could vote, either straight up, or after becoming "legal." Gore may have won it legitimately.
I think they tried even harder in 04.

"Craziest thing I've ever seen," said one poll watcher. "They had 100 tables and just five poll watchers trying to monitor them. Every table had a pile of empty ballots. If the machine rejected a ballot, the workers would just take a fresh ballot, fill it in the way they thought the voter wanted (Detroit voted heavily for Kerry), and then put THAT ballot through the machine." The poll watcher also reported unsigned ballots being counted in the machines, a violation of absentee procedures.
