One of the first out of the democrats to discount the outing of the bloody headhunter was Sonoma congresswoman Lyn Woolsey, who stumbled over Zarqawi's name when declaring the bombing which killed Zarqawi "wasnt a watershed in this war
there have been many other watersheds
.implying it wasn't a 'big deal'. "To the extent it had any effect - I believe,if anything it will incite more violence." Media heads like CNN refer to Zarqawi as an insurgent, not terrorist, and the the people with him were victims. They don't get that he IS Skilled at working with the Shiite regime in Iran while at the same time targeting Shias in Iraq, which is central to Zarqawi's strategy to destablize a democratic government at all cost.

Despite his intonations against the Shiites, and his manifest efforts to promote civil war in Iraq, Zarqawi was happy to work with the radical Shiite regime in Tehran, and they were happy to work with him.Bump.

when our soldiers enter terrorists quarters and kill women in the ensuing firefight, remind yourself that it might have been entirely proper, since the women may have been terrorists themselves.I doubt that these women were groupies...

Zarqawi played on a global scale. Reports from Canada recount contacts between the home-grown terrorists arrested by the Mounties and Zarqawi himself...Those arrests seem linked to those carried out in Atlanta, GeorgiaBut...but...Iraq is just a distraction from the war on terror! Terrorists in Iraq have nothing to do with terrorists here at home!
Great article, thanks for posting it.

"Iran is the most active sponsor of terrorism in the world. Since the inception of the Islamic state in 1979, the country has used terrorism as an integral part of its foreign and military policies. Iranian leaders view terrorism as a valid tool to accomplish their political objectives."
"Terrorist operations are reviewed and approved at the highest levels of the Iranian government, and the President of Iran is involved in the approval process of all major terrorist operations. Iranian-sponsored terrorism has had two major goals: Punishing opponents of the Islamic regime and expanding the Islamic movement throughout the Persian Gulf region."

"Irans record against al-Qaida remains mixed. After the fall of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, some al-Qaida members fled to Iran where they have found virtual safehaven. Iranian officials have acknowledged that Tehran detained al-Qaida operatives during 2003, including senior members."
"Irans publicized presentation of a list to the United Nations of deportees, however, was accompanied by a refusal to publicly identify senior members in Iranian custody on the grounds of security. Iran has resisted calls to transfer custody of its al-Qaida detainees to their countries of origin or third countries for further interrogation and trial."

Thanks for the great post. Infuriating isn't it?
What these folks don't get is that liberalism isn't selling because the majority American's have common sense. They observe the special interest groups that spend all their time whining about
imaginary oppression in this country. Yet the same groups are totally unwilling to fight
real oppression. The Islamofascists are the current and most poignant example. They therefore have no credibility...except in their own minds.
If tomorrow every Woman's group, Homosexual group, Human and Civil Rights group...and their favorite pandering politicians...lined-up behind this President and this war their ideas might sell. Since they haven't, nor ever will, the rational public understand that these groups are not sincere in their beliefs. It's all an act for personal gain...money or for power.
Let's face it, the enemy we fight kills homosexuals, abuses and kills women, and has no concept of human rights. Unless and until these Lefties lead the charge to forcefully "walk the talk" as it relates their true mortal enemies they will have no weight with the majority of Americans. They will continue to look like the gutless hypocrites that they are.

BTW, I should have noted that my response was related to you Lynne Woolsey comment. She, and all her "friends", are an embarrassment to Californians.

It's worth noting that the Persian Shiites running Iran probably aren't above sacrificing a few Arab Shiites in Iraq.

'...(the Iranians) are the principal state sponsor of terrorism in the world. So this means that Jimmy "Peanut Brain" Carter should be rightly accorded the title "Father of Modern Day Terrorism" for facilitating the overthrow of the Shah.

"Zarqawi played on a global scale. Reports from Canada recount contacts between the home-grown terrorists arrested by the Mounties and Zarqawi himself (See the Mississauga News, June 7: The arrest of 17 suspects...is said to be the latest stage in dismantling a terrorist network thats linked to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi...). Those arrests seem linked to those carried out in Atlanta, Georgia, by the FBI, and to other arrests in Sarajevo, England, and Denmark. It will be surprising if we dont find Zarqawis claw prints in several of those venues, as the Canadians have said. Remember, it was publicly announced a few months ago that Zarqawi was no longer the head of al Qaeda in Iraq, that henceforth the Iraqi Sunni community would run the terror war there, and that Zarqawi would devote his efforts to the international jihad. It seems he did just that--and failed.
I had mentioned that I had read or heard about this connection between the Z Pig and the Canadian wanna bees, last week, and I couldn't remember where.
For some reason I keep thinking that our people. using legal phone monitoring, cracked this US/Canadian plot first. Besides notifying Canada, this data may have been presented in the closed door hearings for General Hayden. If so that might explain the sudden big vote for him in the Senate.
