House Democrats from Long Island and New York City on Friday joined the chorus of critics slamming Ann Coulter.
The lawmakers signed a letter drafted by Rep. Steve Israel (D-Huntington) demanding that the conservative commentator apologize for saying in her new book that widows of some 9/11 victims are "enjoying" their husbands' deaths. The book refers to the four New Jersey women as "the witches of East Brunswick."
"Their personal loss should never be minimized, especially in such a cold and callous way as you attack these victims in your book," Israel wrote.

Vacuous nobody rears envious head.
All good points, No disagreement here.
Hey, what would anybody expect from a person who considers the Bush administration a "train wreck":
"I hope Tony realizes associating with the Titanic of presidental administrations has a myriad of post Bush job jeopardies. He's a smart as well as intelligent guy and has good instincts. Perhaps trying to defend the indefensible, trying to make sense of the nonsensical and trying to put a patina of wisdom on the abject ignorance that flows from the Bush-Cheney duet may be seen by colleagues as a journalistically brave undertaking. He may be the only person to emerge from that train wreck with his reputation and credentials intact."

You're on the wrong forum.
DU is to the left. The far left.
When the MSM starts describing Michael Moore with adjectives such as "nasty", "mean spirited" and "offensive", instead of "controversial", "outspoken", and "thought provoking", then I might be willing to concede that Ann Coulter isn't the nicest person in the world.
But as long as this disgusting double standard exists, I think it's great for conservatives to have someone like Coulter on our side to stir the pot. You can bet that thanks to Ann, the next time the Jersey girls show up on "The View", conservatives in the audience will be emboldened to greet them with the boos and catcalls they've deserved for the past 3 years.

Check out Middie's comments on the Bush administration at post #44, to give you some kind of idea of who you are dealing with.
There are a lot of "seminar posters" here at FR. As is the custom many of them claim to be "life long Republicans."
Their words say otherwise. (Over and over.)
Such gratitude, remaining comments self censored.
For being a lawyer, your writing is quite poor. Did your wife give you any of Ann's other books? I'm quite surprized that she wouldn't already know your opinion of Ann. Thank you for your thirty years of service to Our Country in the Air Force and God Bless.
Do you think anyone watching The View will even know who the Jersey Broads are? The View is for Sucker Moms who don't have the brainpower for Oprah.
Pray for W and Our Troops
And not a da*n word from them regarding what their state (NY) comptroller said last week about a bullet between the President's eyes!!!! Freaking hypocrites.
Yes, I did a "one click" purchase.
Now I have to finish Pride & Prejudice, but I don't want to rush that experience, I'm savoring every sentence.
Maybe I should just put it aside and return to it when I finish Ann's book.
I don't give a rat's ass what a group of house democrats say about Anne, about anything.
You got `middie's number, right on! He's a condescending arrogant jerk who lacks the honesty to post as a liberal.
`middie' is the smartest guy in the room; if you don't believe it, just ask him.
Hey `middie': you're nothing about another `seminar caller'. Bet your head's so far up Murtha's a$$ you're suffocating!
"Sucker Moms"
LOLOLOLOL! ;^)
Are the Democrats really stupid enough to try to engage Coulter?
YES!
