Drats! Beaten by 4 seconds!
To: Trust but Verify
Four seconds is a long time in a horse race :~D

Awwww, that is a
sad story. Barn fires are awful. Condolences to the owners.
Thank you for posting the link to the Barbaro update thread. I didn't know there was one.

About every 3rd or 4th time, I ping the new posts to some who had been on the thread earlier - not a "ping" list as such - I just added your name to the informal list, if that's OK.

That was somewhat the same way my ex used to handicap, too - but only after we'd looked them over in the parade to the gate. Sometimes there were 3 or more grays!

As wonderful as Barbaro and other animals are, don't you think that the hospital could raise enough money on its own rather than require Gov. "Fast Eddie" Rendell's visit with a $13.5 million dollar check from hard-working Pennsylvanians this week?!?
I wonder if Fast Eddie will buy me a horse farm in Kennett Square...or heck, even a house!

I'm not getting coverage here yet, so haven't seen the horses - but our old rule of thumb was to "throw out" any grays who were dappled if we couldn't decide. It's not an "exacta" science, lol. Box 'em!

*HAY*, the hospital hasn't had a major renovation since 1964, so it was overdue.

I think people like to pick the greys to win because they're the easiest to spot in the pack :~D
To: Hildy
I forgot all about it. Haven't looked.
I've been downtown checking out the auction items for tomorrow! You know me, I cannot miss an auction, not even for a hurricane. :)
