Vanity...
Wow\!
The more I look into HUD under Secretary Cuomo with Kirsten Gillibrand as his Special Counsel, the uglier this whole scene gets!
I found that in July 2000, HUD agreed to pay $130 million to Puerto Rico's Housing Authority even though that agency was facing corruption charges. By all accounts, Gillibrand "handled this matter" investigatively for Cuomo's HUD.
Senator Christopher Bond said "There is just a whole raft of questions about alleged criminal activity (in the housing authority) that I find very troubling and make me wonder why HUD would do this."
All you guys who raved on Gillibrand being attractive on this thread, what do you think of your little cutie now!? (kidding!)
The deeper I look into the Kirsten Gillibrand era at HUD under Secretary Cuomo, the more obvious it is this fun isn't ending soon!
In September 2000, Rudy G said that Cuomo's HUD (under the Clinton regime, of course) was doing dirty work on behalf of Hillary's Senate campaign. This was in the New York Times on Sept. 7, 2000. I'm sure Hillary and Bill will be working hard on Gillibrand's behalf this election season!
I agree Gillibrand would be bad news! My dad is back in the Sweeney camp at this point (Thank God!)! I checked out some of your blogs upstate. There's some good ones, particularly the timesunion blog. There's quite a few postings on that blog about Sweeney and Gillibrand, and even a few about the HUD flipping scandal during the Cuomo/ Gillibrand (under Clinton!) tenure.
Okay, guys, this is my last posting about Kirsten Gillibrand,...unless more HUD/Cuomo stuff comes up!
One funny thing I noticed is that Gillibrand was only at HUD for little over half a year. Doesn't that strike everyone as odd? Why would she leave so quickly? Think maybe she was forced out for less than satisfactory work!?
