The power problem was the big problem IMO. As governor, he scoffed at widespread opinions a la "wait a minute, this was written by the power companies, this isn't really deregulation, and there's a lot of potential for abuse here".
Any notion that he "raised" the vehicle tax is pure BS and anybody with less ideologically blind than Rush Limbaugh knows it.
