We will go where the fans are with great anticipation and no regrets. To find out (along with us) where that is,

LMAO we're already finding out where it isn't --- that would be America

Wait a second.

Doesn't she contradict herself in her own statement?

Country music trio the Dixie Chicks, still taking heat for criticizing President Bush, are weathering sluggish ticket sales in several cities for their upcoming U.S. tour, industry watchers reported Thursday.

Not only are they ditzy chicks, soon they'll be welfare chicks as well. I guess they aren't so good at math either.

This whole situation is hilarious!
They are in the wrong type of music. If you want to trash Mom, Apple Pie, and Our Nation; Country music is probably NOT what you want to be singing.

This time around we are willingly feeling our way through unchartered territory.

Or "uncharted" even. Can't these rich celebs afford a friggin' proofreader?

To our Fans: Any reports being made about the cancellation of our upcoming Accidents And Accusations tour are completely false.

Ticket sales stopped for Houston Dixie Chicks show (Houston Chronicle 6-9-06)

Pathetic.

They're spinning so hard it really is a shame that Motown refused them permission to change their name to The Three Tops.

The Blue State libs they're courting, now, might buy an album in solidarity...but I think far, far fewer will buy a pricey ticket to go to a soncert for music they're not really big fans of...

Shouldn't it read "premature"? It isn't cancelled yet, but it will be. HA HA HA HA

How long before one of them develops laryngitis or becomes too "exhausted" to continue the tour? Or maybe they will announce they have to end the tour because of death threats.

Weasel words. A candid statement would at LEAST have acknowledged that "some of our previously-scheduled DATES have been cancelled, but then, some have been added [in Canada]," blah blah.

No one's said the WHOLE TOUR was being cancelled. News reports have simply noted the cancellation of some play dates.

We have known since March 2003 that our path in this business would have obstacles at every pass.

They've got a real martyr complex.

To our Fans: Any reports being made about the cancellation of our upcoming Accidents And Accusations tour are completely false.

Word parsing that would make Bill Clinton proud: individual concerts are being cancelled, but the tour is not...and as long as they have two booked concerts left, no matter how small, it is a "tour."

Look for them to become the Lake Woebegone House band.

Garrison Keillor always has room in his stable for faux-Americana.
