ABC News Update:
BAGHDAD, Iraq Jun 8, 2006 (AP)— Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings, kidnappings and hostage beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's prime minister said Thursday.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed Wednesday evening along with seven aides.

I agree that it would be bad to have any more disrupters and abusers on the forum in the name of 'tolerance' -- and in any case it is JR's forum to run as he sees fit, and I think he strikes a great balance. A few libs such as "Liberal Larry" are allowed on as resident dissenters, since LL actually seeks to use evidence and reasoning and intelligent arguments, however much we might disagree with him. OTOH, it only takes a few minutes of scanning posts at psycho-Kos, DU, etc. to see how awful FR would quickly become if any significant number of raving libs were allowed on here. Few would come to do anything except disrupt and harrangue and abuse.

Allegra, your posts about the Iraqi people cheering and chanting "USA! USA!!" brought tears to my eyes.
I shared your comments with my son today, and he was thrilled.........but NOT surprised. He knows first hand how glad the people of Baghdad are to have been freed by the Americans..........and now they have been freed from the evil 'beheader.'
