US President George W. Bush, who turns 60 on July 6, joked that six decades is "not that old" and blamed his gray hair on his twin daughters' teenage antics.
"For you youngsters, I want to tell you something: When I was your age, I thought 60 was really old," he said during a speech on immigration. "It's all in your mind. It's not that old, it really isn't."
Earlier, during a roundtable with immigrants to the United States, Bush joked with one father of two young children: "You think my hair is gray because I'm president? No, my hair is gray because of teenage daughters."
Bush's daughters, Jenna and Barbara, are now in their early 20s.
Pics of the Bush Twins? I think there should be a rule. :-)
George, give me a call if Barbara presents any issues, I'm certain I could keep her out of your hair.
I thought the Bush Twins were 25 or 26 not still in their teenage years.
I love this President!
Indeed.
For parents who claim they and their teenagers "speak a different language", my wife and I adopted a 13yr old Chinese girl who could speak about 20 English words, but didn't know how to use them. Tell me of those teenage language barriers. She had/has medical problems requiring continued surgeries and treatment. Tell me of relationship obstacles. Her culture was 180 degrees opposite that of ours. Tell me of misunderstood fashions and trends.
Through the last year and a half, I think I've grown more since her allowing us to become her parents than the previous forty-six I'd existed.
Greying hair? Well, I admit it's a lot lighter shade of "strawberry blonde".
Count your blessings Mr. President, my dad lost every hair on his head after raising me. ;-)
Thanks...made my day to see pics of these two American Princess, luv'em.
I wonder what W and his siblings did to cause his mom to go gray so early... Ha ha ha...
W said his mom's hair grayed when his sister died.
petercooper is obviously a legs man.
Someone obviously forgot to wear a bra.
I always have thought of Barbara as the brainy ugly duckling, but she has turned into a raving beauty.
