The raids, conducted last weekend...
Thirteen guerrillas were killed in a clash in the southern province of Uruzgan where two coalition soldiers received non-life threatening wounds, the U.S. military said in a statement on Tuesday.
In neighboring Helmand, five militants were killed in an operation by coalition forces while four more insurgents were killed in Zabul and Paktika provinces...

Across four provinces -- a comprehensive operation certain to get Al Qaeda's and the Taliban's attention.
I do believe our so-called journalists nowadays would rather slit their wrists than use the term terrorists, unless of course they're referring to U.S. troops ALLEGEDLY massacring "innocents."
Twenty-two more sleazeballs no longer able to hurt or kill innocent people, thanks to American and coalition military personnel taking a courageous stand against evil. God bless 'em!

What I find interesting is that this is the first time I remember the term "insurgent" applied to foes in Afganistan. Maybe I just never noticed it before, but in Afghanistan the enemy is usually identified as Taliban or Al Qaida.
