We are a fragmented nation. Erosion is slowly chipping away at the belief system that once served to tie us together as a people. Indeed, movements are afoot, and their radical self interest goals at odds with the vision of our founders. Perhaps most frightening are large numbers of people so focused on their own wants and needs that they are oblivious to the threat, and unconcerned how each tear in the collective fabric of our country effects their lives in the long run. The patchwork quilt, constructed from the assortment of ethnic groups making up our unique population, is ripping at the seams.

Only an aggressive campaign promoting the civic education of our citizenry will assemble a force big enough to counter those putting their radical self interests above the common goals of the country. These are troubled times.
I can't imagine any outcome other than an armed revolution of the people against the government in the next 20 years.

I know. The balkanization of american has been in the making for decades now. Now it's on the nightly news.
These things don't just happen over night.
I CAN imagine an alternative other than armed revolt -- but it isn't better. I can imagine democratically CHOOSING the Strong Man, who can bring order, but destroy democracy in the doing.
We have to stop being cowed by "political correctness" and the fear of being branded "racists." It's time to tell the truth.

Biblically, that would be the AntiChrist. I like Armed Revolt better!
The only alternative I can think of is to actually ALLOW and Encourage the balkanization. Let liberty flourish, and let lots of mini-cultures be themselves. Vouchers, for example, so the argument about what goes on in Public schools is over. Skip trying to have one language -- let the market-place decide which language is spoken -- my bet is that English wins, but if it doesn't, so what? Abortion? Let the individual states decide. Lots of other applications.
Don't even try to by one American culture, because it's impossible, and it really wasn't the original founders ideal anyway. They never imagined that the 13 original states would all lose their individualality. For a long time we WERE able to conglomerate, but that time may be gone.
Isn't the Anti-christ supposed to come from Europe?
And anyway, armed revolt is an even surer way to end up with the dictator.

Multiculturalism: Divided We Stand.
How about getting involved in local politics.
Run for the local council. Volunteer for county planning commissions and health boards.
If conservatives take over local governments, the federal government is checkmated. The head (federal government) can't operate without the body (local government). And there's nothing the federal government can do about it.
With conservatives in charge of local governments, you have police power, executive power, legislative power and judicial power. That power can be used to stop Washingtpon bureaucrats abusing federal power.
With local power, federal bureaucrats can be harassed, ostracized, arrested and imprisoned for violating law.
The American Revolution originated with local governments.
There's your legal alternative to armed revolt.
And frankly, I'm appalled by the lack of conservative citizens at local government meetings.
All this + continuous efforts in P.R. department - to clarify and get our point across - makes all the difference!

So, you're saying that you wouldn't have anything against suddenly finding your neighborhood an enclave in, say, a linguistically and culturally predominantly Chinese, Tagalog, or Islamic mini-state? Discovering that your Anglophonic children are disadvantaged at school because many classes aren't offered in their mother tongue, or because your girls don't wish to wear a veil? Perhaps you are just assuming that the Anglophonic, Judeo-Christian segment of society should simply keep retreating, and relocating to those increasingly small and isolated pockets of Western Culture where they are still in the majority, where they can live and work amongst "their own?"
