"After years of Bush Republican incompetence, our borders are unsecured and our immigration system is broken.."Yup. It broke on January 21, 2001.

Unlike the Clinton years when our borders were secure, and there were no illegal immigrants.

Why in the Hell doesn't Reid just resurrect his old 1993 immigration reform bill? This bill is even better than H.R. 4437.

Just yesterday, Senate Republicans blocked the Senate's own bipartisan comprehensive reform plan from moving forward in Congress Amazing, 10,000 posts screaming about the Illegal Immigration bill and NONE of the Antis thought this would be importat to point out?

The Senate needs to be reformed so that it votes the way the people demand. Border Security first.

Oh, so NOW you take the President's side. Every other day you're yelling, "Hate Bush, hate Bush!!", but not today. I see how disingenuous you really are.

The Senate took a major step toward fixing our immigration system.
Toward 'fixing' it? Exactly how does this Senate bill fix anything?
All it does is make the problem worse over the next 10-20 years.

The 'new' "Three Big Lies"
- America Needs Comprehensive Immigration Reform
- Our immigration system is broken.
- America 'needs' low paid, uneducated immigrants who only do 'Jobs (lazy) Americans Won't Do'.
- Illegal Aliens are hard working, law abiding, 'good people'.
- Family values don't stop at the Rio Grande.
- If it wasn't for Illegal Aliens, lettuce would cost $10.00 a head and strawberries, $20.00 a dozen.
- Illegal Aliens are not a burden on our economy or society.
- We can't deport 12 million people.
- Mexico is our friend.
- Anyone who disagrees with the above is a jingoistic xenophobic sheet wearing Klan member fascist racist bigot who eats puppies for breakfast.
Oops, make that TEN new Big Lies.
;-)

"Now the president must convince his party...."
Sounds like Reid has no intention of cooperating, doesn't it?

Immigration reform is a misnomer!
What we need is Border Control and Security Reform.
Once that's done, we can discuss immigration reform. And frankly, we don't really need reform, what we need is enforcement of existing laws.
