Interesting graph. I imagine what spiked the traffic on the Kos blog in May was the illegal aliens activity, but what happened in February to make that big spike (no doubt a big spike of rage) on that blog?

Well,

You have to understand something. The DailyKos being liberal gets occasional free liberal Main Stream Media advertising which corresponds to the spikes in their statistics. I have heard the DailyKos be mentioned on CNN on numerous occasions. People get curious and then surf there. It's free advertising for them.

The negative traffic trend for Free Republic sure doesn't surprise me...

It's only since the end of 2005 that that has been true (basically since his book came out and has been relentlessly hyped in the MSM).
