It's been going back and forth all night with them changing leadership spots.
Really close!

I'll catch with you tomorrow, kiddo. I'm knackered and I have to get up in about 4 1/2 hours...so sweet dreams. Hope the numbers hold.

This is getting close to being a perfect election for all my issues and candidates. Me too! Amazing, huh? Could it be a trend?

Me, too. I didn't think I would be able to vote since I didn't get done with work until 7:30 PM.

Overall, this has been a good night from where I sit. Locally here in San Jose, we finally have a Republican on the city council, who beat out the union-backed schmuck by about a 2-1 ratio. Plus, for Mayor of San Jose, the more conservative Democrat was the top vote-getter over the LaRaza union supported feminazi (it'll go to a run-off). And we beat back a half-cent county sales tax hike that would have made us tied for the highest in the state.
Prop 82 bit the dust as I suspected we would do. Surprised that we might defeat Prop 81. And Parrish defeated RINO-puke Richman without a working campaign website, wow.
A bit disappointed we couldn't get Lenning into 2nd place for the runoff (which looks like there won't be one anyway)
But my good mood will be spoiled if Moldy-nada edges out Strickland.

Dagnabit, I want it to be close enough for Westly to call for a recount.
I want them to continue to act like whiny children.

Congratulations on all the great victories at the local level! We also beat back a half-cent county sales tax hike here--with almost a 20 percent drop in support from what it had a couple of years ago! I'm still shaking my head in amazement. 6-6-06 is looking like it was a very good day!

Sure. Res ipsa loquitor.

Any way they try to spin it, Bilbray's win has to be a devastating loss for the dems and the MSM and a huge win for the GOP. I agree with those who've posted that there's no way the GOP's gonna lose the majority this year. And I'm even starting to feel better about California. With Arnold and McClintock consolidating their strengths who knows what could happen. I'd love to see a renewed and unified GOP kicking liberal butt in November.

And I'm even starting to feel better about California.Dittos to that! Bilbray's win, Prop. 82's loss, and the dems are all bloodied up from the Wesley/Angelites fight - no matter how quickly they try to clean up from that, it's going to leave a bruise.
To: Jim Robinson
Well I did my part and voted against my fellow Cardiff-By-the-Sea resident, Francine. She is on our Cardiff School Board, so it seems she might have done well in this community. However at this household Bilbray won 2-0. I will check the votes by zip if they provide that detail later on.

I agree with you on -Surprised about Parrish -Glad Richman went down! -Disappointment about Lenning -Cautiously optimistic about 81s defeat. This should keep the mood up:

Yeah, whatever else was accomplished tonight, the story the media's been trying to push about the Dems "taking back the house" took a devestating hit.
It'll be hard for anyone to be convincing about it now. They'll have excuses, of course, but it'll sound like they're making excuses.

Maybe it'll all come down to Alpine County (5 precincts, 793 registered voters)
I think they just woke ol' Earl up. They're finally gonna start counting. ;-)
