The arrest of 17 residents of Canada with three tons of ammonium nitrate in a plot to attack targets in Ontario is a reminder of the nature of the enemy that America faces in the war on Islamist terrorists. Contrary to the beliefs of some on the American extreme left and extreme right, the terrorists arent simply reacting against the American-led war in Iraq or against Americas support for Israel.
Canada sent no troops to liberate Iraq. Our neighbor to the North so opposed the Iraq War that at least one American deserter fled there for safe harbor, as draftdodgers did during the Vietnam War. And while Canada is mildly pro-Israel, and more so under its new conservative government, its arms sales to the Jewish state are peanuts compared to Americas, and at the United Nations on key votes its likely to abstain rather than join America, Micronesia, and Palau in voting with Israel.
What the Islamic extremists oppose in Canada is neither its support for Israel nor its behavior in Iraq but the mere fact that it is not a country governed by Islamic law. An Associated Press dispatch on the bomb plot noted that Canada, with the America, Britain, Spain, and Australia, was listed by Osama Bin Laden as a Christian nation that should be a target for terrorism. Nothing short of dropping Christianity and converting to Islam will satisfy the Islamist terrorists.
What follows is this truth: the options this leaves Canada and other free nations are, in other words, either defeating their enemy or surrendering to it. Concessions short of surrender wont satisfy the enemy, as the example of Canada demonstrates.

Canada gets it's wake-up call.......
I'm getting a really sick feeling about 06/06/06.
Has anyone yet been able to "freedom of information act" get ALL the info surrounding that bombing - the eye witnesses that told of OTHER suspects they saw - of other leads that the feds shut off?
Was there a shut down, cover up so that it didn't have to be dealt with - easier to let McVeigh and Fortier be the only ones? Why were the witnesses shut down?(There were two Americans with this Toronto group, also>)
Not that we don't know how competent the AG (Reno), the FBI and ATF was under Clintooone - look how expertly they handled Waco and Elian -
Let the deportations begin!
No not yet!
Too many chicken shits up here. We'll blame Bush, then Blair, then western imperialism, then capitalism, then the catholic church, then lack of social programs, then lack of multiculturalism, then we'll blame.....
I get a sick feeling that it's going to take one more wake-up call for the U.S. to finally understand what is really at stake, here.
Oh, they got their call, alright.
They need to answer the call.

Work in progress....
It's time to for John Q citizen to let these people know that we will not tolerate their evil ways any longer. We will not let them destroy our country. Either they police thier own ranks or we will do it for them.

For the MSM, this qualifies as a blinding revelation.
See tagline.
Right on. But as important is the wake up call for America.
Some of us have been wide awake for the past five years, sadly, it's just SOME of us.
Ping
Canada ping!
Please FReepmail me to get on or off this ping list.
No what this is is a wake-up call to American. The danger is the not on the southern border, it's up north. Those 6,000 National Guardsmen needs to be reassigned to patrol the Canadian border. Instead of tracking down people looking for work they need to be on the lookout for people looking to blow us up. Who knows what's been flowing back and forth across that border since 9/11.
