Patrick Henry College, founded in 2000, just celebrated its fifth graduation on its Purcellville, Va., campus. The 49 graduates received bachelor's degrees. Supported by the Home School Legal Defense Association, PHC is dedicated to preparing Christian men and women to lead our nation and to shape our culture using biblical values they learned from their parents and churches, as well as PHC. The college is unique among conservative Christian colleges because of its emphasis on classical liberal arts and on the preparation of its students for public service, advocacy and citizen leadership, as well as a commitment to apprenticeship.

Great news.

Private. We need more private colleges with conservative or libertarian conservative leanings.

He cautioned that although they should be proud of their college, once in the work force, few will care. He assured the students that if they worked hard they would get ahead and that they should be patient and always be positive.

Smart man, that Brit Hume. "Here, go make 100 copies of this." "But I was 3rd in my class at XYZ College!" "Good for you. Go make 100 copies."

...preparation of its students for public service...

You're 100% right.

I love it! However, I don't think Catholics pass PHU's "faith" requirements, so we'll have to live with our NRA shirts: "The Second Amendement - America's original Homeland Security!"

I don't recall that PHU had any such requirements.

I fear I am confused. This is not a new problem, so don't feel like I'm blaming you or anything.

> I fear I am confused.

Prepare for enlightenment:

PH College: Real World college devoted to religion.

PH University: featured in Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged," as one of the last great institutions of enlightenment learning. Cranked out a number of the Objectivist (i.e. seriously *non* religions, and incredibly capitalist) heroes of the book.

These two schools woudl not get along.

My son just finished his junior year at this fine institution, and I got to accompany him to the graduation and heard Brit Hume speak! He was very inspiring and it was an honor to hear my very favorite news personality.

By an amazing coincidence I have just finished watching a documentary on British TV about Patrick Henry College. It was called "God's next Army" and from the clips I saw it looked like they would try to do a hatchet job on them, however it was very good!
I think the producers must have been disappointed they could not dig up any dirt on the students.
