Hi All.
What a trip it was! I dropped everything to participate in this historic caravan. I logged 6,930 miles. Now that I've got things normalized a bit, let me start out with a THANK YOU to Jim Robinson for his sincere interest in restoring America to her greatness! Thanks to Doug from Upland, La Enchiladita, JustPiper, Rondog and so many others for the enthusiastic online support and prayers and to Eeevil Conservative and NewRomeTacitus for showing up at rallies. Apologies if I've overlooked someone, it was a flurry of energy, people and names at times so please remind me.
To those who helped underwrite gas and other costs--thanks. The list I can publicly mention includes Doug from Upland; Rondog; Rushmore Rocks; Mrs. Darla Ruth Schwerin; and a couple of FReepers whose real name I have but whose screenname I need (let me know and I'll gladly thank you by screenname).
OK, now it's time to get down to some serious business.
As can be easily seen, the whole borders/amnesty issue is an enormously hot topic, here at FR, across the country and throughout the Web--and for good reason. I am furious with those in my employ--those sworn to protect me and my friends and Countrymen from enemies foreign and domestic.
When the Bible demands that rulers honor the law and rule justly, God wasn't kidding. When the Founding Fathers recognized that our Government is authorized by its Citizens ONLY to make and enforce just, moral laws, they hoped we would be watchful to ensure that those in office were carefully scrutinized and held accountable. When Ben Franklin was asked about what form of government the Founding Fathers had created, he replied, 'A Republic...if you can keep it.'
And Franklin's concerns are in-our-face today.
Liars of every stripe call this Republic a Democracy. Perjurers and perverts are allowed to remain in office. People who violate the Public Trust and their oaths of office are lauded and still considered Citizens and Patriots. I ask--OF WHAT COUNTRY?!? NOT AMERICA!
We have forgotten, fellow Patriots, the power we have with our Votes and our Voice.
We have been too forgetful and forgiving of those who betray us--right to our faces. Many in the U.S. Senate, for example.
We have neglected, fellow Patriots, the stewardship of holding unworthy politicians to accountability.
We have been so engrossed in the Pursuit of Happiness that we have forgotten that if personal amusement and leisure is all we pursue, we forfeit our Liberty!
We have let be censored and rewritten our honest history books and permitted a Marxist-Atheist monopoly to indoctrinate children at OUR expense on OUR property about how bad America is.
We have laid down our arms when anti-Second Amendment politicians and judges collude to outlaw them, one clip or 'assault weapon' description at a time.
We have been silent and passive when anti-First Amendment politicians and judges collude to outlaw Free Speech, one encroaching decision at a time. EXAMPLE: I with about a dozen peaceful others from the Minuteman Caravan was THROWN OUT OF SENATOR JOHN McCAIN's D.C. OFFICE (separate thread to be posted later). John McCain and Russ Feingold have colluded against our civil rights as evidenced by the McCain-Feingold Act. Why are they still in office, Arizona and Wisconsin voters? Capitol Police?
We must start taking back ground NOW. A recent FR poll asked whether I'd put McCain in vs. Hillary. I didn't vote. I DO NOT TRUST THE MAN. And the way his staff treated us was exactly how I'd expect to be treated by a political enemy. I guess I am--because I expect anyone on a governmental payroll in the United States of America to be loyal to the U.S. Constitution, to say the Pledge of Allegiance and to defend this Country--not betray it. Mr. McCain, thanks for your past service, but you are now no friend of America, Sir.
Meanwhile, it is IMPERATIVE that true Conservatives not be dismayed or alienated from the GOP--we just need to weed out the untrustworthy RINOs and CINOs posing as Republicans. THAT is the solution, not being divided-and-conquered by Leftist friends like McCain!
As regards amnesty, we delivered petitions and made our voices know on Capitol Hill. Most Senators have flat REFUSED to obey their employers. That insubordination is beyond winking at. We need to throw those rascals out before they let a bunch of criminals stuff future ballot boxes in their favor--and THAT is why so many of our humble public servants are dragging their feet, despite the will of the LAWFUL People.
The U.S. House of Representatives needs encouragement to stall and KILL the Senate bill.
I'll post more in the next several days.
God Bless America!

Thank you all for taking the time and expense to do this.
BTTT
Excellent recap! You are so right. We have just handed over entirely too much to the pieces of scum in D.C. all because of our own selfishness, greed, and me first attitudes. Just hope its not too late to put an end to their tyranny!
God Bless Our Minutemen! We love You...
God Bless Our Minutemen! We love You...

God Bless Our Minutemen! We love You...
Maybe you can repeat some of the speeches where Bush was called a traitor and should be impeached.
You're right, trooprally, even though I may only be able to donate $5-10 bucks to the wall, still it is something. Of course, wish it could be more.
It was truly fun doing the phone interviews and the posts on each day's Caravan threads. Of course, it was much more an adventure for those who actually volunteered to be part of the Caravan. I don't think I could have kept up the pace.
Thanks for the additional reports on press coverage. Since I have been so close to this issue and therefore, sympathetic to the Minutemen from the start, I can't imagine how the "average" American would view them. Although some lib friends (!!) have told me they admire the MMP. I'll remind them they can donate to the wall too! Hah!
So, I think people "get it" re the reality vs. the drive-by media, with the ultra-leftists being the main ones agitating vs. the Minutemen. Oh, and of course, the Mexican government with their covert anti-Minutemen operations.
Thanks, Mr. T!
I gave $25 last month to the fence project. I'll be sending in another $100 this month. Skipping a month's worth of Starbuck's lattes is little sacrifice compared to what the MM are doing!!!
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be even a worse fate. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." -- Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill on the eve of Britain's entry into World War II
I'm not sure how the 'caravan riders' did it either. Drive all day, have a rally then get some sleep - for 10 days. Our hats are off to them.
FYI, the "donate" part was for those who read the thread, not you personally. You have contributed a lot in time alone. Some donate time, hopefully others can donate $$$. A little from a lot adds up.
So I repeat, to all those who can, the border wall needs your help.

OUTSTANDING QUOTE!!!
Be sure to ping me to that thread. My sister-in-law was here visiting and she asked me what I had against McCain. I told her some of what I knew about why I would not vote for him. I would like to be able to give her more reasons..............Thanks
I'm not surprised that McCain was discourteous to you. He lost whatever remaining shred of respect I had for him when he dissed the Swiftboat veterans even before he gave them a chance to tell their story. He also never stood up and supported the "Stolen Honor" POW veterans, either.
Sorry to say, but I lke Michael McDonald & his Verizon commercials!
Can't wait to see the Mc Cain thread. Thanks so much for your work on our behalf.
Thank You.
