Mike McDonnell, assistant commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said the group had acquired three metric tons of ammonium nitrate or three times the amount used in the 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City as they sought to create explosive devices. Police said they had arrested 12 adults and five young people.....

As I read the article I expected to see that they were Muslims.
Evedently they were not Muslims. They were just upset at how Muslims everywhere were treated.
I was wrong and should not have jumped to conclusions.

Global Canadian Imperialism
That's as rich as the old "Fat Bloody Belgian B@$tads!" epithet
from Monty Python.
When folks as decent as the Canadians (even if I can't go with all the
politics) "offend" some group...you know the group is Freakin' NUTS!

that's because we are still fighting a war against terrorism. Terrorism is not an enemy! Terrorism is a tactic. We can't win a war where half our population does not even see who the enemy is, and refuses to look at the situation through anything but politically correct rose colored glasses. We need someone to campaign on the platform of defeating militant islam, or by 2008 we will be too far down the road to defeat to change course. Failing that, I guess the inevitable next major attack on US soil by militant islamists will be our next opportunity to make the proper connection in the minds of the speak no, see no, hear no, evil crowd.

If they needed to give Canada an enema, they would stick it in Mississauga.

Very good post.
Terrorism IS a tactic of Militant Islam. And our enemy IS militant Islam.
I've said it before. It is time for another "Christian Crusade."

London and Toronto have been busy with anti-terror sweeps in the past twenty four hours. In London, police and MI5 were searching for poison gas devices placed into suicide harnesses normally used for bombs. Very effective for gassing innocents riding trains or killing strangers in subways. Toronto is on alert for traditional homicide bombers using strap-on devices.
