Bill Clinton Narrates Tour at Ark. Library Jun 03 9:46 AM US/Eastern
By JILL ZEMAN Associated Press Writer
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
Late at night on a recent trip here, Bill Clinton wandered the halls of his presidential library, recording his thoughts on some of the milestones from his time in the White House.
"There were lots of times when Republicans thought I was right about an issue, but they were determined not to let anything happen," Clinton says in a new audio tour of the library.
"I know that when I got elected president, a lot of those folks just went into denial," he says.
The library, along the Arkansas River in downtown Little Rock, will begin offering the audio tour Saturday. The tour was Clinton's idea and is a first for presidential libraries, said Jordan Johnson, spokesman for the William J. Clinton Foundation.
Visitors can pay an extra $3 for a device shaped like an oversized cordless phone. Each exhibit corresponds with a number, and when the number is pressed, Clinton recounts his thoughts and memories on the topic.
For the exhibit on the impeachment hearings, he describes the era as an ideological battle that went overboard.
"So when I won (the presidency), it was a profound sort of psychological shock to a lot of them," he says with a chuckle. "Then they went into overdrive fighting me. They weren't accomplishing anything, just banging away. Then they did what people who care too much about power do. They overdid it."
Clinton's commentary also addresses his childhood as well as issues such as crime, foreign affairs and the economy. He speaks of hosting state dinners for foreign leaders and his wife's role as first lady.

By getting elected by 23% of all eligible voters, the other 77% didn't like me I suppose, I said to myself "piss on them" and set off to live my [wet] dream!
I have a lib acquaintance who will in one breath give Clinton sole credit for the economy of the 90's (ignoring the '94 Congress and the Internet), in the next blame Bush for the recession that started before he took office, and then in the next refuse to give Bush and/or his tax cuts credit for the recovery and booming economy we have now. It's fascinating to watch........and pathological.
Wonder if he took his Canadian chicky with him ?
Not to mention "profound".
Slick must be finally insane if he's wandering the halls of his library late at night remembering the good old days. He's pathetic!
It is very interesting that he is taking obvious delight in pulling the wool over everyones' eyes. Very telling. So this all that the Presidency meant to Clinton. Another notch in his belt.
I would say America was swindled and anyone who continues to buy his bs will ultimately be too.
"And this is the building where I nailed Monica, and in this building I did Mary, and over here we did it in the elevator...."
If I remember correctly, *Bubba was one of 'em...
"Go, baby!!"
Wow. Unbelievable. A good psychiatrist would have a field day with this narcissistic, paranoid, sorry excuse for a man.
Here is what the Republicans "didn't accomplish" while they were just "banging away:"
Take over the House of Representatives
Takeover of the Senate
Takeover of the White House
Takeover of the majority of state houses
Takeover of a majority of state capitals
Confirmation of two conservative Supreme Court justices
To quote George Will - perhaps not the worst President we have ever had, but clearly the worst man ever to serve as President.
Late at night on a recent trip here, Bill Clinton wandered the halls of his presidential library, recording his thoughts on some of the milestones from his time in the White House. He was up late nights just draggin' a hun'red dollar bill 'roun' the 'ole trailer park... never knowin' what he might find.
A lot of blatherings in your rant based on speculation, conjecture, your revised memory, and perhaps your own dreams. Got links on...
Clinton helping Syria plan 9/11? (kooky, very kooky)
That the Rest of the intelligence world, besides Tenet, believing there were WMD in Iraq? Many in intelligence did not believe this hence the Wilson Niger payback plant.
Republicans not discussing Clinton on the House and Senate floor in 1998 during impeachment proceedings? (um, they did, they called him a liar, it happened.)
The enemey has an equipment advantage we couldn't listen to? (huh?)
Bush "mis-speaking" about WMD? Um, He asserted, he was right, they are in Syria.
This failure to deal with reality and attempt to spin everything is what's hurting the Republican party right now. Not Clinton, not the Democrats - your type of behavior.
These kinds of rants imply that Bush and his Administration are non-actors and are at the mercy of the MSM, the CIA, the FBI, Tancredo, the Congress, George Soros, the Democrats, and the Clintons.
This is textbook paranoia, and it's wrong.
"Clinton helping Syria plan 9/11? (kooky, very kooky)"
I NEVER, EVER SAID THAT - go back and read what I wrote - because you're making that up.
The UK, France, Russia, India and EVEN THE U.N. believed that Saddam had WMD - so this is another FALSE ACCUSATION on your part. You need to read more. There was ample evidence which Sec. Powell presented at the UN - which came from many other intelligence services - none of whom are controlled by President Bush.
As for Wilson, he went to Niger to try to disprove that Iraq wanted to buy yellowcake - what happened was that Wilson really ended up confirming that Iraq not only wanted to buy yellowcake - and had already bought some years ago - when it was against Iraq's agreement after the Gulf War. Again, you need to read more .. your sources are not good. It also turned out that Wilson was lying through his teeth when he returned to the USA and said that Cheney had sent him - Cheney didn't send him. Wilson is a liar and all of his many lies from that trip have been thoroughly exposed.
Again .. I NEVER SAID "republicans didn't discuss Clinton on the Senate floor" - you said that - not me. I said no republican went to the well of the senate and just stood there and said Clinton had told, "lie after lie after lie". And .. I'm right - no repub ever did that - but Ted Kennedy did do that to George Bush. And .. Teddy and many other senators have called President Bush names not just on the senate floor .. but when they travel abroad.
Then you said: "The enemey has an equipment advantage we couldn't listen to? (huh?)" - sorry - but that was part of the Clinton and Syria comment - guess you missed that part (huh??).
Bush never "asserted he was right" - HE WAS RIGHT - many other nations had the same information from their intel services that we had - even the UN. This was part of your second question .. or did you forget that. It wasn't that Iraq didn't have WMD - the real question was WHERE WAS IT.
So far .. you're batting a BIG FAT ZERO.
"Not dealing with reality" .. and what would be your reality .. WE HATE BUSH! That's your reality. Bush has done everything wrong and Clinton did everything right. That's your reality - BUT THAT'S NOT REALITY.
And .. just what does "my type of behavior" have to do with anything. We still have FREE SPEECH which means I can say my opinion. You don't have to agree with me .. and quite frankly, I don't give a rip if you do or not. But don't sit there at your computer trying to make me believe YOU HAVE THE ONLY TRUTH - so far I haven't heard any truth from you.
"Textbook paranoia" .. ROTFLOL!! You poor thing. Did I burst your bubble telling the truth about your lying, cheating, traitorous IMPEACHED FORMER president Clinton. BoooooHooooooo!!
And .. I'll rant all I want to - nobody is requiring you to read what I wrote!!
I could make a comment....but that would be wrong, not to mention waaay to easy.
Because you are obviously too lazy to check your facts, here's a link to the Clinton/Syria story:

World Net Daily is your source? ROTFLOL!!!
I stand by my paranoia and kook comments.
