What a great game. I vaguely remember four Chicago cops in riot gear coming over to the apartment. There were two of us.

You have a funny mel gibson conspiracy fixation. We just got an unlucky draw.
We have a great team and maybe we'll find some luck. But we'll be lucky to make it out of the group.

To defeat Brazil would be an earthquake. Be we just lost an excellent defender and I don't see that either.

Great team and a fine, fine coach in Arena, but we have no business being ranked in the top 5.

Now who do you think is responsible for that conspiracy? Top Five!?!

The Aussies have made some nice strides but they don't have the depth and the coaching matched with the discipline to beat the US IMHO.

It would be great to see it happen though.

I thought the draw was just fine. Sorry about our team, though.

Is there a reasonable chance that the Americans would get a chance to play against the Iranians?

I agree one of my favourite players is McBridge who I believe played for a team in Ohio before coming to Britain.

I've met Brian, he is a real nice guy, and a great player, wish he would get more time in England.

I think I'd be grateful that so few sympathise with the Palestinians, considering that most news coverage Britons receive is from the BBC.

''There is no escaping the conclusion that beyond any legitimate political criticism, the emotional stance of Europe toward Israel is influenced -- and not only on the margins -- by the deep and ancient European obsession and pathology regarding the Jewish nation,'' he wrote."

More "influenced" I'd say by their large unassimilated Muslim wankers.

Looking back at this post a month after the Cup was over, we both got our predictions correct: England failed to reach the semis and didn't go very far indeed.

Perhaps the prayers from God's chosen were answered? ;-)
