What a great catch by Jason Smith today: The BBC has an article out today claiming they have a new Iraqi massacre tape. The most curious thing about this article is not the massacre claim itself, but a line buried 15 paragraphs into the 16 paragraph article:
The pictures came from a hardline Sunni group opposed to coalition forces.
Thats like interviewing Hitler for his take on life at a concentration camp. Who needs fact-checking when you have such unbiased and trustworthy sources?
Smith also reports that the story is several months old and that other journalists have reviewed it and cast doubt on the idea that U.S. troops massacred civilians. Haditha has given all kinds of groups a reason to accuse the U.S. of committing atrocities, and sadly some news organizations will give their allegations uncritical amplification.

You know, listening to all the bruh ha ha about this so called massacre just tick me off. Must be nice to be a terrorist in this war. Kill a few villagers, blame it on the U.S. and sit back and watch the storm emerge.
And then there's that crib that seems to make it into every picture after a good @ss whooping by our troops.
Viet Nam all over again.

Relying on the BBC for true news is kin to wearing a swim suit in the snow...

I honestly think chimps would get the story more correct. Remember that Andrew Gilligan reporter for the BBC. Claiming, just like Baghdad Bob, that "there's no American soldiers" in Baghdad, as the tanks rolled down the street. ROFL.

Hopefully Delacoert has that one documented. Yes. Documented in:
As Coop posted in #10, it is on my Haditha list.
I just started working on today's updates to the list. I had a few meetings to go to this morning.
To: delacoert

If only Mary Mapes could get involved to authenticate these claims.

Maybe it was Lucy Ramirez reporting for the BBC. No longer in Texas, I guess.

I just hope the troops don't have to go through a Kangaroo Court and get sacrificed to squelch a civil war over this.
I am predicting acquital after a long invwstigation and trial.
Anyway, in the meantime I say lynch Murtha by donating to the Irey Campaign, no lengthy trial necessary

Did you read my entire comment to pissant? It's the news media that's TRYING to make this war another Viet Nam not ME!

I did. But my point is the media cannot accomplish its goal if we don't let them.
