Kimber said he heard nothing about a civilian massacre during city council meetings and talks with local leaders.
"It would have been huge, there would have been no question it would have filtered down to us," he said. "We reported no significant atmospheric change as a result of that day."

Quite correct! And, in Haditha they would have raised hell about this!
The more I hear, the more I believe we have certain media types manufacturing another story OR falling for a manufactured story.
The video of the supposed massacre does not come out until 4 months later????
"It would have been huge, there would have been no question it would have filtered down to us," he said. "We reported no significant atmospheric change as a result of that day."
This speaks volumes - It definitely does - There is much more that took place here then is known - And it is starting to appear clearer that a building concept of a "massacre" by U.S. forces has been sold to Iraqis and the media (after the fact).
The SM (in this case, a Time reorter), all doing all they can to convict our troops before facts are known, creating a My Lai massacre air about this. It's a war for Gods's sake. I bet a few other civilians have been killed in the cousre of battles with "insurgents", as the enemy does try to blend with the crowd.
Confirmation that the media has no conscience about spreading enemy propaganda during a time of war. Not only spreading it, but fortifying it and shaping public opinion for the enemy.
Now our marines are human right violators who shoot 1 year olds in the head and old poeple in wheelchair. Insurgents never kill innocent civilians execution style, never video tape executions, they are almost non-existent to the MSM except when thay happen to kill innocent people for a one day story.

They are going to make US Marines out to be like the monsters who murdered Leon Klinghoffer.
The MSM has taught us over the past year that the time delay in "breaking" a story is solid evidence that propaganda has been manufactured.
As Savage said, who would have given any credence during WWII if Goebbels released evidence of US soldiers committing atrocities? Yet the MSM falls over themselves building up another case against the military and against the WOT.
I suspect this is just another effort to cast the WOT as another Viet Nam.
The Islamofascists and their willing accomplices in the MSM certainly do not have an honorable track record. By their own actions, they deserve to be met with cynical suspicion.
Whats the deal with these "unnamed sources".. Something of this caliber should not depend on "unnamed sources" in the media whatsoever. It could be anyone...or noone! Where do we draw the with this reporting technique?
What's your take on this, oh wise one? I hear so many conflicting opinions on this case, I don't know what to think.
Whats the deal with these "unnamed sources"..
--
It's 'snipe' journalism, nothing more. The MSM hides behind the 1st Amendment and snipes away and could care less about anyone that it destroys along the way..
Its terrible, not naming a "source" is suspicious by nature. How can anyone trust any story with quotes from "unnamed sources" Are we supposed to believe it without skepticsm? The source obviously has an agenda or doesnt exist.
Thanks to good research done by our pals here at FR, and no thanks to the paid media, we know that the reporter involved was an insurgent. We know the doctor was an insurgent.
We know the town was an insurgent stronghold, not controlled by the government. We know that the insurgent community "leaders" would hold daily executions of supposed spies, and that they would saw their heads off publicly for the daily entertainment and edification of the cheering crowds.
We know that the bodies were moved before they were photographed. We know there was no report, not even a rumor, of a massacre until two months after the fact.
And it is simplicity itself to put a bullet in a cadaver after the fact. People that saw off heads for their entertainment can't be that squeamish.
This is a massacre that never happened. It is entirely a manufactured incident.
I know we on this site are supposed to be above this, but I absolutely hate the U.S. f--ing media. These self-righteous, self-absorbed, and mostly unAmerican people have done more to hurt our soldiers and their mission in Iraq and around the world than ANY enemy on the battlefield. These people almost geleefully report U.S. soldier's deaths and casualties as a way to say f--k you to President Bush and HIS war. However, when someone in the media gets injured or killed, its a huge story generally slanted towards that person's bravery and courage and how our soldiers somehow caused it to happen or failed to prevent it.
The media has accomplices. Traitor to our troops and media whore Jack Murtha gets away with calling our soldiers cold blooded murderers, and loser John Kerry equates our soldiers to terrorists. The fact that these two are veterans means nothing to me (I am a vet), but to the media they are unimpeachable. Has the media forgotten that these two voted to send our soldiers to war?
Memo to U.S. Media, try and remember that the people you crucify daily are the one's that make it possible for you to have jobs.
Give our soldiers the support they need to win this war. Sorry to the moderators...
Absolutely!
We also know that NO US investigator has seen the bodies! We do not even know if they WERE shot. The original report said shrapnel--one of the child "eyewitnesses" had SHRAPNEL wounds.
We know that Arabs are notorious liars. I am not being derogatory, it is part of their culture. We know that they have staged atrocities before. The Brits spent two years on an investigation of British atrocities that turned out to be a staged event. ALL FOR MONEY--BLOOD MONEY.
I believe, now that the enemy smells blood in the water, they will overplay their hand with a barrage of "US massacre" videos that only the DUmmies will believe. And the media will try to quickly switch the subject to take the focus off of their false reporting and unsubstantiated lynching.
The blogosphere and talk radio cannot let them get away with this. The MSM demands that Gitmo detainees get "their day in court" and "presumption of innocence". The Marines deserve NO LESS!
...or vice-versa...
"A Marine captain who was relieved of command after members of his battalion were accused of killing civilians in Haditha, Iraq, denied any role in the slayings "
I like how they make it appear that the captain is acknowledging that a "slaying" took place. He says nothing of the kind because he wasn't even there. The press has already come to a verdict on this - you can see it in their reporting.
Amen, brother.
