Leftist radio in Charlottesville - AM 1450

Posted on 06/02/2006 8:44:23 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

Seems this is the local airhead, "progressive" station in Charlottesville....and they have AIRHEAD America on their program.

Tell them to dump lefties and carry Rush, Hannity, etc.......

They probably only have the airhead professions that are local as listeners.

I graduated from UVa, 3WV sucks, some students listen to it, that's about it. WTJU is the University owned station, much better music.

Well, the People's Republic of Charlottesville has a large leftist population, afaik. Still, you could get Rush there, the last time I went through.

in the broadcast biz, 1450 AM is known as a "graveyard" frequency. They license thousands of low-wattage stations on it, all of which interfere with each other and can be heard about as far from the transmitter as you could throw a decent sized rock. Sounds like the right place for Airheads.....think their whole network is comprised of such stations.

Rush, Hannity, Ingram, O'Reilley, and Boortz can all be heard in Charlottesville. Let the airheads have their stupid show. I'm more miffed at 1070 WINA for their new local head Coy Barefoot. He is a leftist mouthpiece that has a large local following. Since they added him to their lineup, I've stopped listening altogether. It's a shame, because they have a good morning show.

That would be unfair to the faculty at UVA.
