Great Idea...........Maybe we can get AlGore for the post. ( Oh Wait!, I forgot, according to the MSM he is going to be the next President of the United States.)
"We can probably get thousands (instead of just hundreds)just here on FR to demand that Kerry release his War records--would this be a big story too?"
Why don't we try it? (not to hijack a thread, or anything...)
"We're in a drought here in Texas, FIRE THE CHANNEL 4 WEATHERMAN, IT'S ALL HIS FAULT!!!! "
You should be ashamed for blaming the drought on Channel 4 Meteorologist Evan Andrews.
Everyone knows it's George Bush's fault.
This is just another case of Republicans rejecting science to advance the agenda of big oil companies. I marvel at the lies that you m(*&w$F(*&)ing Republicans will tell to protect your fueher and his cronies at Halliburton.
The Communists and Marxists are getting more bold. ...just a bunch of Pagans who want to sacrifice our economy instead of maidens as they did a thousand years ago!
It is one of the first times that I have seen such a vicious attack on our highly competent, honest scientists actually doing the job the American taxpayers have asked them to do. NOAA should be commended for the excellent job they have been doing for many years! Such unjustified attacks should not go unanswered because we will just see more and more. Criminals all!
The obvious answer is YES! You do need to say more - Three Mile Island [1979] was the worst public nuclear reactor in the US AND NOBODY DIED and there appears to be after 25+ years the worst study that I can find is an increase in Lung and Blood cancers downwind in the 10 year period following the incident. Given the lack of follow up to this study, I'd be inclined to believe that others may have found problems with the study.
This person probably wants the same thing as the "Human Extinction" movement. I wonder what energy source(s) that Green Peace likes. I'm sure that they would say solar and wind but it is well known that these are limited and it would take a much reduced population for this to suffice.
If we didn't have Global Warming and if we didn't have Bush, who or what would the leftists be complaining about?

Is this stated "fact" true?:
"Of the six most powerful hurricanes ever to hit America in the past 150 years, three occurred within 52 days in 2005..."
'Powerful hurricanes' are frequently measured by how low their lowest measured air pressure was in the time span that the storm exists. This misleads because it may not and usually isn't the measurement at landfall. Katrina had dropped to a 2-3 Force at landfall.
'Expensive' measures damage costs which tilts towards modern hurricanes as there is greater populations closer to the coasts than in earlier years and there is more statistical reporting than earlier. If there is a repeat of some of the older hurricanes like the 'Chesapeake Bay Hurricane of 1933', the costs would be much greater now than then.
'Deadly' tilts towards earlier hurricanes where predictive weather reporting was less or missing. The Galveston Hurricane of 1901 killed thousands whereas current deaths generally measure less than contemporary tornado deaths.
So the answer is maybe yes, maybe no. No argument that we have more hurricane danger than we had in the last decades of the 20th Century but given that this is a cycle predicted in history, these doofuses waving 'Global Warming' signs do little to convince me.
Stupid thinking, which includes their simplistic global warming theology, will ask for the resignations of the Hurricane Center Director and NOAA Administrator. My question is do these nit wits expect that hurricanes will cease with these resignations?
Along the history revision, designer offspring.
I wonder if they could be persuaded by an appeal to reason - the hot air that they are producing combined with the 'Butterfly effect / Chaos Theory' could also be leading to hurricanes. After all, anything is possible - right? Isn't that what they are saying about 'Global Warming', it doesn't matter if it is natural, since it is POSSIBLE that we are contributing to the warming, we must do everything to lessen that possibility.
My reply is kind of late in coming but thanks for your insightful comments.
