elli1 posted: "Energy Solutions - Scroll down to the fourth letter to the editor." From this letter... Finally, nuclear power is a disaster waiting to happen. There is a reason that no nuclear reactors have been built since the 1970s--Three Mile Island. Need I say more? Nuclear power is opposite to the direction in which we should be headed.

The obvious answer is YES! You do need to say more - Three Mile Island [1979] was the worst public nuclear reactor in the US AND NOBODY DIED and there appears to be after 25+ years the worst study that I can find is an increase in Lung and Blood cancers downwind in the 10 year period following the incident. Given the lack of follow up to this study, I'd be inclined to believe that others may have found problems with the study.

This person probably wants the same thing as the "Human Extinction" movement. I wonder what energy source(s) that Green Peace likes. I'm sure that they would say solar and wind but it is well known that these are limited and it would take a much reduced population for this to suffice.
