Mercury is normally taken care of not by regular chelators [like EDTA] but by polymercaptans [pretty specialized type of things], even by egg white.

Where can you get more info on this? I also understand that regular ingestion of celantro (about a teaspoon a day) causes most heavy metals to be moved from the interior to the outer cell walls, but that something else is needed to fully metabolize them...

Well, do a google on "mercury toxicology" and a big bucket of info will come up. Being lazy, I merely quoted a book which was within 3 feet from me, so I didn't have to do any more searching. The only way to deal with metals is to complex them to something else, and then excrete.

In 1983, a study published in Medical Hypotheses noted that the concentration of a number of metals determined in the hair of 68 hyperactive children, when compared with a control group, indicated excessive levels of manganese and reduced levels of zinc.

In 1989, researchers involved with the Edinburgh Lead Study ... showed a significant relationship between blood lead levels and teachers' ratings on the total behavioral scores, as well as aggressive/antisocial and hyperactive scores.

In a 1996 study from the Archives of Environmental Health, the relationship between hair lead levels of children and their attention-deficit behaviors in the classroom [showed an] even stronger relationship existed between physician-diagnosed attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and hair lead in the same children."

In the April 7, 1993 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, Dr. Ruff published a study that reported on the reversal of intelligence decline among children with high lead levels when steps are taken to reduce their body burden.

The symptoms of toxic heavy metal poisoning and the symptoms of autism, PDD, Aspergers, & ADD/ ADHD are very similar. Toxic metals could be the cause of those symptoms. . . .right. . .I wonder what percentage of autistic children - stats increasing yearly on this condition - have not been innoculated. Of course, there are other ways to have toxic exposure; but surely, vaccines have carried their share of mercury. . .including children's flu vaccine - not all. . .but some. Perhaps it depends on where manufactured and when. . .
