BAGHDAD, Iraq, May 28 — Hiba Abdullah survived the killings by American troops in Haditha last Nov. 19, but said seven others at her father-in-law's home did not. She said American troops shot and killed her husband, Rashid Abdul Hamid. They killed her father-in-law, Abdul Hamid Hassan Ali, a 77-year-old in a wheelchair, shooting him in the chest and abdomen, she said.

Hold onto your hat...This will be worse the the ABU Gharaib barrage. The agenda is to saturate the american people with non stop coverage of the Haditha Massacre much like Malcolm Mcdowell's reprograming in ClockWerk Orange.

Bastards!

Dear American Hero:

Please stay safe. You shall be my prayers. Please tell all of our service men and women that the vast majority of Americans are grateful and honored that we have such fine people willing to lay their lives on the line for their country and their fellow citizens. You are America's treasure. Bless you all.

Thank your families for us also. Too often their sacrifices are overlooked.

If these killings occurred, there's a good chance they were perpetrated by terrorists wearing counterfeit American uniforms. The story is all based on accounts given by Iraqi civilians living in a terrorist controlled area. That, and fake US uniforms, make a good recipe for a frame-up of a group of innocent Marines.

Thank you libstripper - some of us have had similar thoughts and feelings.

John Gibson just said that it is a shame that with all of the documents that have come out that prove that Saddam was a bad, if not worse than President Bush said he was...

That those documents haven't gotten ANY media attention, but there have been DOZENS of stories about Haditha..just in the last week...

I agree with him.

The article says Haditha is controlled by Islamic terrorists. It also says that anyone who collaborates with the US is kidnapped and killed. It also says that Haditha was the centre of numerous attacks on US soldiers.

Man, do we have to draw a line between the dots for the NY Times/Tabloid to see the truth here ?

It is obvious that since a Republican was in charge of the military when the war was started that making the US military look as bad as possible will make the Republican President look as bad as possible and that make US soldiers fair game for every possible kind of smear campaign.

Truly Disgusting.

I agree with him, too. However, how many stories has John done on the pre-war intel docs?

Heh... I don't think I've even found all the key threads from the previous couple days. There are some 'facts' I've read in discussion that I can't find the trail to.

A list of 'good' Haditha incident threads:

I'm still trying to catch up on all these threads. If you know of or run across any other good ones please ping me.

The one comment I read that I am trying to trace back to a news source had to do with General Pace having hinted that the results of the investigation could be bad. The only thing I can find regarding that is from On a Marine Base, Disbelief Over Charges which says:

Now wait a minute! They go into the first house and kill women and children, then go into another house and kill women and children, and THEN they go into a third house and tell the women to leave so they don't see their husbands getting it and then tell the women not to go back inside. Hmmmmmm, yeah, that makes sense.

they interviewed a few of the kids that survived, and one little girl said that she knew a bomb was going to off when the american convoy went by. This is suspect. She then said she wants the americans to be tortured, killed and to leave iraq. I smell something phishy here. I bet the entire family was harboring terrorist and triggermen.

Thanks delacoert...perhaps we could get the Admin mods to add "Haditha" to the list of subjects at the top of the page, so all of the various threads can be in one spot??

Please, AMs...

there is a lot to question here, if someone wanted to kill Innocent people, wouldn't they have been more careful about witnesses and evidence? Surely they would know an incident like this would be investigated? Bewildering...
