CAMP PENDLETON, Calif., May 29 In this "company town" where everything and everyone caters to the well-being of the Marine Corps, there is no shortage of people, both military and civilian, who are willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the troops accused of unjustified killings last November in Haditha, Iraq.
Relatives and neighbors gathered near the shrouded bodies of civilians said to have been killed by marines in Haditha, Iraq, in November.

So then you are well aware that he talked about the need for honor, and for observing rules of engagement, what Marines do, and don't do. And if you missed that, you ain't no reader.
Preparing is not pre-judging. Preparing is anticipating in case. There's a big difference.
I've been arguing with coop about this point for 3 days now....all I can say is save your breath...
A MA company showed that they wanted me more than TI did after 17 years... We "escaped from our 'MA exile'" shortly after 9/11. (See my FRProfile...)
Your question has already been answered by me on many Murtha threads. I don't like your implication.
Bravo Sierra.
I was told last night I was dishonoring the memory of a dead Vietnam vet by stating that three commanders had been relieved in the wake of the incident, and that no one is guilty of anything, no matter what the evidence shows.
You may as well save yourself some grief.
In other words, you want to make their every mission a suicide mission.
Yes it is.
I wonder what's next...issuing rubber bullets to our soldiers in Iraq so the terrorist and their supporters aren't hurt.
Right after you post that little thingy about a fair trial and that presumption of innocence doohickey.
Agreed, the chips need to fall where the truth actually is.
But the MSM and Murtha are not going public with these leaks to improve or keep the integrity of the Marine Corps. It's just the opposite, they are gleefully giving the islamo-fascists aid and comfort. So that even when the investigation shows there is far less culpability than was portrayed, the damage will have been done.
In other words, no I did not serve in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Of course it is. You have pre-judged my intentions over and over on this very thread. You don't have a flippin' clue.
Have you ever spoken to a Marine fresh out of BootCamp?
I realize movies are primarily entertainment, but more than one Marine has confirmed that the 1st half of the movie FULL METAL JACKET...where they start with getting their head shaved until graduation...is SPOT ON as far as the emotional and physical abuse Marine recruits undergo.
I suggest you watch it before you start claiming you're "offended".
Interesting profile. I noticed you wrote something about the OKC bombing; have you read Jayna Davis's book The Third Terrorist?
Forget to ping me, Counselor? Can't say that I blame you. Last thing you want is for me to call you on your Bravo Sierra again. You can't compete with facts.
On a more basic level, it is about power and influence. I was really stunned to hear that a White House correspondant is paid $350,000/yr. that makes him very important, don't you know? The Sunday media people earn a lot more than the Presidents and Congressmen they comment on, so they must be more important.
Just itching to volunteer to serve on the firing squad, aren't you?
Nice to see that your style of "arguing" is the same with me as with others...alot of chest beating but that's about all.
I wonder if there is any place we could contribute to their defense? I gave to Pantano's via Michael Savage's. website.
