I used to enjoy P&T but the past few years they've kinda left me cold. This excerpt from a recent story sorta says it all for me.

Penn Jillette's wife Emily gave birth to son Zolten Penn Monday

Jillette is a nightly performer at the Rio casino-hotel. He says Zolten is a common Hungarian name.

It's also his wife's maiden name and the name of Dracula's dog.

The 51-year-old magician/comedian left in the middle of his daily radio show to be at his wife's side in a Las Vegas hospital this afternoon.

Last June, the couple named their first child, a girl, Moxie CrimeFighter.

I listen to Penn's FreeFM podcast from iTunes (a free replay of his one hour radio show), and he explained the "Crimefighter" name - it was his wife's idea, who thinks middle names are stupid, and doesn't have one herself, so Penn used it to have some fun. (She's Hungarian, and I think he said "Zolten" is a family name.)

I know Penn is not every conservatives cup of tea, he's a libertarian through and through, and an athiest, but he's entertaining, and most importantly, HONEST - if he's wrong, he admits it. He's not pumping himself up as an authority, and if you disagree, he seems to honestly want to engage with you to talk about it.

I watched that silly video. I liked the claim that $167 billion in gold was stored in the WTC. At the pre 9/11 price of $270 an ounce, that works out to about 17,534 tonnes of gold. About half of total official gold reserves. For the entire world.
