What protective equipment was provided (armor, helmets, etc)? Who are the maunfacturers and what are the model numbers? Was that equipment state of the art?
Was the CBS team provided with weapons, personal security or medical aid by CBS? If so why not? Were the CBS News team taught first aid? Why were two of the team members British nationals? What is the percentage of Americans that CBS News sends in harm's way? If under 50% why? Did CBS News arrange for adequate insurance for members of the team, especially the foreign nationals? Who paid for that insurance, CBS or the team members? Who paid for their armor, helmets, first aid kits, if provided? Who in CBS News is in charge of personal security for news teams? How often are security measures reviewed? What are those security measures? Does CBS News know if their staff includes any spies? How do they know? Who at CBS News screens local nationals and what operational security meausres are used by CBS News to protect information? Before Monday's attack, the Committee to Protect Journalists had put the number of journalists killed in Iraq at 69. Of those, nearly three-quarters were Iraqis, the New York-based group said. Why? How much is the average salary paid Iraqi employee by CBS News? Are they provided with healthcare? Insurance?
What are the duties of Iraqi nationals called "fixers"? PLEASE CONFINE THIS THREAD TO QUESTIONS FOR CBS NEWS OR EXPANDING ON QUESTIONS ALREADY SUGGESTED. Thanks.
You are exactly right. The other side is fighting a political war, one where the objective is to cause enough casualties not to make our forces leave, but to make our politicians decide to leave. And is CBS's constantly working with them.
If there wasn't such a drumbeat, the terrorists would be demoralized and give up.
In some ways, CBS has just reaped what they have sown by giving terrorists hope with every CBS Evening News broadcast that helps terrorists, not the US.
To cBS: How many more kids (reporters) have to die for "Blood for Ratings?"
>>>>>"CBS news honcho must resign"<<<<<
In the form of a question.....
When will the Honchos at CBS resign?
:^)
Did CBS News do this intentionally after seeing all the sympathy and interest given to Bob Woodruff? Did CBS News do this in a desperate attempt for May ratings sweeps?
I got to the third sentence before I realized what you were up to, Doc. Then I burst out laughing. WAY TO GO!
It's not intended to do that. However, here's a chance to illustrate to the press how they treat other people. Though I doubt they'd realize it. They are so inbred they might as well be a race from another planet totatly ignorant of the human race.
I understand your concern...but I wouldn't assume that anyone that has posted on this thread are dancing on anyone's graves...
I think we are just reflecting what kind of "respect" the MSM seems to show our troops 99% of the time...unless it is Memorial Day, or Veteran's Day.
What did Dan Blather know, and when did he know it.
I am loving this one Doctor Raoul.
Pretty much everything here would be seen by the media as fair game if it had been the military answering the questions.
The military according to the press must be 100% perfect everytime, see into the future with precision and has unlimited resources to do anything and everything the press can imagine shold have been done after the fact.
It does do that, nevertheless. You're using these people's death and/or very critical injuries to score political points. There are better ways to get CBS's attention than this.
And I know for a fact that this is far beneath you.
What did Dan Rather know and when did he know it?
They obviously didn't have enough boots on the ground.
Nobody's dancing on anyone's grave, but we'd all like to be dancing on the grave of CBS which asked similar questions about our loss of troops.
Highly likely that the U.S. Captain and the Iraqi translator who were killed were the escorts for the CBS reporterette and her crew.
No, but they work cheaper.
I'd love to see a 'protester'/FReeper carry a placard in front of CBS News with:
C B S = BLOOD for OIL RATING$
