And...that was an excellent article. Thanks! My DH (who sees the Dark Cloud in every Silver Lining) does believe that man IS the cause of Global Warming. I am building a file refuting Global Warming propaganda...which he will either refuse to read or erase from my hard drive, LOL!
It is a baseless religion of sorts. I truly don't understand this, because my husband is otherwise VERY logical and, dare I add, BRILLIANT in math, physics, electronics, etc. He can take apart anything and put it back together again with no extra pieces, LOL! He is an avid lover of Nature; a Hunter, Conservationist, SCUBA diver, never hesitates to turn the compost pile for me, and is always designing a new and improved one. :) Where his 'Liberal Guilt' on this issue comes from is a mystery to this day. He grew up on a working dairy farm! If anyone knows the "rhythms" of Nature, it should be him, wouldn't you think? I mean, if you've ever milked a cow, it is a wonderfully relaxing experience. Lots of time to think things through while Bessie is filling the milkpail, LOL!
But when it comes to Global Warming he is an emotional girly-man. I cannot get through to him that it is NOT the fault of humans, that Mother Earth will do as she d@mn well pleases; always has, always will, that he needs to "follow the money" as far as research results go and that Earth has been heating up and cooling down for eons. Heck, ALL of our planets have climetalogical changes over the vast expanse of Time!
I adore him, but on some subjects, he's just plain nuts.
So again, thanks for the additional ammo. And from 'The Washington Compost' no less! ;)
does some research and finds LOTS of things wrong with environmental dogma HERE. |

"Global Warming is questionable. ... Are things warmer than they were a few years ago? Yes. But... WHY? That's the real question. There is also global warming on Mars, Jupiter, and Titan. Did SUV's cause that as well? Are Martians using fossil fuels? Or are we looking at a solar event over which we have zero control? I personally think we're looking at a normal solar cycle. Things warm up and cool down when you look at the long term climate history. We STILL aren't anywhere near as warm as we were during the Medieval Warm Period!" -- "Reese," aka "Mamapajamas"
See: "This technique has enabled scientists to accurately measure temperatures in the Atlantic and northern Europe going back thousands of years and the results make nonsense of the global warming scare. ... The sea temperature calculations prove that between 600AD and 1100AD temperatures were about 2°F higher than they are now. During this period, northern Europe experienced a golden age for agriculture. Greenland, now a frozen wasteland, was then a habitable Viking colony and there were vineyards in the south of England." HERE. How did Greenland get its name anyway? Do you think it was just one more ironic joke by those humorous, sophisticated Vikings? Hmm?
