TAMPA, Fla. - For months Republican leaders tried finding a candidate to take on Katherine Harris in the U.S. Senate primary, and now a recent poll shows Republican voters want an alternative to the woman who was once a party hero.
But even so she appears a safe bet to win the Republican nomination because GOP voters now have too many choices and know too little about them.
As Republican leaders failed to find a strong candidate to get in the race, three men stepped forward to challenge Harris for the right to face incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson. All put their names on the ballot on the last day to qualify, and the list made many ask "Who are these guys?"

Of course, the solution to insurance is to get the government out of it. By regulating state to state the lawmakers and comissioners just keep pushing the cost up. This is the major factor in health insurance costs I cannot buy insurance for my mobile home, at any price, from anyone. However, it is not worth much, and my friends and I agree we have saved the replacement cost many times over. Insurance is a 400 year old industry that know a lot more about how to allocate risk than politicians do.
Good News, I just had a talk with Katherine Harris's communications director. She did vote FOR House Immigration Bill 4437! And she does NOT support the current Senate Bill. The Senate Bill, by the way, requires the new green card workers to be paid Union wages.
She does not support the Senate Immigration Bill. She voted for HR4437.
Thank you for pinging me with that info!
susie
She voted for HR4437, so She is OK by me on immigration. Her position on offshore drilling is that it should be a Florida decision.
Please post your information about Katherine Harris voting for House Immigration Bill 4437 on the FR FL message board!
FL Freepers need to be aware that she does NOT support the current Senate Bill.
Congressman Bill Young also supports the house bill but his moms died when it passed so he wasn't there for the voting.
Anyone know her position re: illegal aliens and border security?
