TAMPA, Fla. - For months Republican leaders tried finding a candidate to take on Katherine Harris in the U.S. Senate primary, and now a recent poll shows Republican voters want an alternative to the woman who was once a party hero.
But even so she appears a safe bet to win the Republican nomination because GOP voters now have too many choices and know too little about them.
As Republican leaders failed to find a strong candidate to get in the race, three men stepped forward to challenge Harris for the right to face incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson. All put their names on the ballot on the last day to qualify, and the list made many ask "Who are these guys?"

If you find anything out, do you mind pinging me? If she is of a like mind with Martinez, I won't be able to support her!

I dont know who I will vote for but I know I will NOT vote Gallagher
He has made a complete wreck on the insurance industry here.
My home insurance is getting ready to go up over 70%. Allstate is pulling out of Florida. State Farm is dropping people and will probably pull out too as is Hartford. Home owners beachside here are seeing insurance costs double, some elderly people I know who have lived their entire lives in 700sqft homes are paying 2600/yr. He has made a mess, and insurance agents are scratching their heads over him. Talking to one, he said that they have even discussed having the Feds come in and run it, and we know what they did with college loans when they tried that.
Jeb is great, it would be really great if he had had a different insurance commissioner

It is not Gallagher's fault that we have had five major hurricanes in two years. He was able to craft a solution to save Citizens, which was over a billion dollars in the red, as the insurer of last resort. Without this fix, many Floridians would have no insurance. There are a number of things in the latest bill, that will help to reduce future costs, but there is no free lunch, and hurricane season starts next week. If you look at the totality of Gallagher's leadership, speaking style, personalbility, experience, level of conservatism, he wins hands down over Crist.

Gallagher is responsible?
He's probably the only reason anyone in Florida still has insurance.
Blame the hurricanes not him. This insurance companies rates starting going through the roof when Andrew hit. Charley, Francis, and Jean took this rise to a whole new level.

Yes...and of course...Gallagher
is NOT a lawyer!
Crist is to busy looking for his latest "cause" rather than doing his damn job. He's a lawyer hack IMHO.

She will NEVER win in Florida. Take that to the bank and move on. Bookmarked so I can serve it to you in November.

"Is Karen a open borders, church lady republican?"I like Katherine. I've sent her several campaign donations. If she supports the Bush guestworker/path to citizenship crap, I'm done with her. So far, I've seen no facts to prove it. But there is a lot of smoke...

I would have to bet that she is an open borders lady.
Didn't her family make their money from owning orange groves in Florida? I am not sure, but I think I read that someplace.
If that is the case, she would have a real hard time coming out strong against illegal aliens, because I am sure her family was probably a major employer of them.

Because the RNC is full of country-clubbing, good-old boys who see Harris as a threat to their network. She appears set to win the primary.....right? I guess it could be the fact that she will probably be beaten as bad as Alan Keyes was in Illinois that is the reason the Republicans are getting a bit antsy. Ya'll are going to have to get off this "country club republicans" won't let us elect conservatives. The primaries are where the "base" has the advantage. If the "base" can't win the primaries then the "base" may want to look at their candidates.
