Fox credits paisanoson immigration reform

SACRAMENTO – Mexican President Vicente Fox today lauded President Bush and U.S. senators for passing a comprehensive immigration bill that offers employment and citizenship opportunities, but said most of the credit should go to Mexican immigrants.

"Nobody deserved more credit than the ... paisanos here," he said, using the Spanish colloquial word for "countrymen" during a speech to the California Chamber of Commerce and Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. "They have fought for it."

He offered his "most caring salute to all Mexicans here in the United States," whom he praised for their work ethic and loyalty not only to their new, adopted country, but to their families back home.

"We really love them, appreciate them and respect them," he said. "We know about their dignity and pride ... and contributions to this country."

Fox spent the rest of his 15-minute speech touting his administration’s economic achievements and attempting to entice the assembled business people to invest in Mexico.

In particular, he cited the success of the maquiladora– foreign factories that set up shop in Mexico along the border to take advantage of the cheap labor pool. They'll create as many 1 million jobs this year, he predicted, at least 150,000 more than there are qualified applicants. That deficit must be addressed by beefing up education spending in Mexico, he added.

But in his often rosy portrayal of his country’s economic prosperity, Fox didn't address why hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants continue to enter the United States each year, nor the growing gap between Mexico's rich and poor.

Fox continues his victory tour but refuses to take questions from his hosts...the American taxpayers.

" but said most of the credit should go to Mexican immigrants. "

===

This is beyond disgusting.

While I want secure border, to stop illegal immigration, I never advocated rounding up the illegals here and deporting them back to Mexico, because I think it's just not realistic. BUT when Fox gives credit to the illegals, instead of the generosity of the US, I am almost ready to pass a law to round up all illegals and drop them all on Fox's doorstep, put barbed wire across the entire border sealing it airtight, and forget the guest worker program.

To Fox and his "paisanos" I say:

OUT! OUT! OUT!

To the US Senate I say:

OUT! OUT! OUT!

Yeah, Fox would do the lauding since the US taxpayers take on Mexico's own problem.

Don't blame Fox, blame the American traitors who, out of pure hatred, because of ideology, or simply from greed and self-interest, have practiced what amounts to colonialism against their own nation. And Fox's endorsement ought to eliminate any doubt on the value of this bill.

I had an interesting talk with a Mexican kid in his 20's at the gym today. He has been in the US since he was a baby and his mom came in on the brassero program. He said that even the established Mexicans don't want all of these illegals here because they screwing up the wages for everyone. From grape picking to construction the wages are being driven down because of too much cheap labor.

I spit on the US Senate and on Fox. I hope the House smacks that amnesty bill down to the gutter where it belongs.

I agree. Fox is a patriot who is acting in the best interest of Mexico.

I just wish our leaders followed his example and act in the best interest of the United states.

So we will grant amnesty... errr "Earned Citizenship" to all of the illegals in the country.

Everyone will get their papers stamped and become legal residents.

Then the cycle can begin again, with more people illegally crossing the border and replenishing the illegal worker pool.

You see, from the perspective of people who hire illegal workers it's all about getting your house pained cheap and not having to fill out a 1099 for your baby sitter.

For the illegals themselves it's about escaping a system designed to keep them living in wretched poverty for their entire lives and grasping anything that looks like an opportunity.

And from the perspective of Vicente Fox and the rest of the Mexican elites, it's demographic warfare. And the United States is loosing.

"we know about their dignity and pride"

What a LIAR! How could he possibly know about their dignity and pride when he refuses to recognize those qualities in their home country. He degrades them so badly, they think they need to sneak into this country rather than fighting for their rights where they were born.

That would be nice.

The best we can expect appears to be that they will act in the best interests of the emerging "Amerexico".

"Fox is a patriot who is acting in the best interest of Mexico. "

Fox is a corrupt politician deeply in bed with the narcotraffickers (otherwise he'd be dead) who sees the USA as a place to dump his poor so that he doesn't end up in a civil war and dangling from a lamp-post like he deserves.
