Uh, killing civilians is what happened on 9/11 and Hiroshima, Dresden and Ngasaki, to name a very small few.

When the USA has a POTUS that effectively communicates that fact we will have a chance to win.

We will definitely lose if the Murthas of the world are taken seriously.

I or my kids should give our lives so leftist traitors can lose us another war?

Not a chance.

We have a POTUS right now who talks mush. He seems weak and indecisive. What's happened to him.

I don't want to give cart blanche to our troops to kill civilians. On the other hand there are mitigating circumstances that make this necessary or reasoned at times.

I agree with your aversion to turning things over to the likes of Murtha and the press.

I appreciate your post.

Did MacArthur kill civilians when his men were in country?

I don't want a President who justifies the killing of civilians if it is unnecessary.

the problem with this case - its going to come down to "benefit of the doubt", the Marines killed 5 people in a taxi near a checkpoint, they likely thought it was a car bomb, got scared, and shot it to hell. it turns out it wasn't a car bomb, who gets the benefit of the doubt? they were probably taking fire from an apartment someplace, shot back, and women and children victims were found inside. again, who gets the benefit of the doubt? it depends on who is doing the investigation.

murder is murder. murder is a Marine walking into a school or a cafe someplace, not in the presence of enemy fire, and blowing away a bunch of people found there. or dragging non combatants out of their apartments, and shooting them in the back of the head. that's what I consider "murder" in a wartime context.
