MINNEAPOLIS - The mayor and police chief of Minneapolis say Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents should stop wearing vests that read "police," saying the practice undermines public trust in local law enforcement.
Mayor R.T. Rybak and Police Chief Tim Dolan said in a letter Thursday to the local ICE supervisor, Mark Cangemi, that ICE agents should wear visible identification that would clearly show they are not city police officers.
Currently, they said, ICE agents conducting raids often wear vests that simply say "police" with nothing else to distinguish themselves from Minneapolis Police Department officers.
The local ICE office issued a statement Friday saying ICE is one of several federal agencies that use the word "police" on outerwear.
ICE agents do this "to clearly identify themselves as law enforcement officers," as do their colleagues in the Drug Enforcement Agency, U.S. Marshal's Service and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the statement said.

Oh yeah... Let's confuse people with a very small understanding of Engrish with an alphabet soup of signs on police vests.
While most immigrants can figure out "police" (certainly if they use the same alphabet they can figure it out) they're likely to think that the ICE guys are there to drop off the party ice they ordered.
Yes actually, Spanish uses the same alphabet as English. Ever watched Univision before?

Ryback & Dolan have to be two of the biggest dipsh**s in Minnesota. Are they stupid, or just naturally dumb? Bet neither one of them can walk and chew gum at the same time.
If this is all either of them has to worry about,then I.C.E. officials should tell both of these dumbasses to go rotate the tires on a trash truck and keep their butts out of the way of the real people trying to do their jobs being real policemen-which is something neither of them has ever done!
Doesn’t surprise me! This is the same State I went to grade school, high school and college from which I was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and started my four year commitment that refused to pay me the Minnesota Vietnam Bonus because while I was in Vietnam I wasn’t paying State Income Tax. Dah!

The democrat-run police departments and city halls absolutely refuse to get involved with stopping or questioning illegal aliens in these towns (St.Paul/Mpls) which tells me that they know the illegals are voting and the democrats rely on those votes.
