Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel was shot this morning in an apparent robbery in the city.
He drove himself to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where his white Chevy Impala LT sat outside the main entrace all morning, roped off by police tape.
Police spokeswoman Beth Skala said Sigel was shot at least once in the upper right arm.

He served a year in prison and was relased in August on a gun charge. He was aquitted of attempted murder the following month. He was also briefly jailed in November for failure to pay child support.
His three albums - The Truth in 2000, The Reason in 2001 and last year's The B. Coming -- each hit the top five on the Billboard album chart. Many of his songs depict guns, drugs and violence.

"Dis be basically our crime scene right here," said some detective at da damn hospital who be involved in de investigashun. "He gots coopuh'ted, he's told us whut happened."
Sigel, 32, wuz held down by five males who boxed him in wid two cars befo'e he wuz shot sometime befo'e 7 a. WORD!m. WORD!, Skala said.
Honky pigs wuz uncertain 'esactly where da damn crime took place. Dey wuz checkin' out da damn area uh 22nd and Sigel Streets where dey said members uh Sigel's family lived.
"We duzn't know if dey knowed who he wuz," detectives said da damn of de suspects.
"He wuz in some lot uh pain but baaaad spirits," said anoda' detective.
